I bought this car in 1995 in San Diego. The engine had been totally rebuilt in the early 1990s by the previous owner. I have driven this jewel less than 1,500 miles since I purchased it (including less than 100 miles since 2001, when I relocated to Sacramento). I change all fluids and do tune up and lubrication maintenance regularly. I fire up the engine every couple of months and let it run for 30-40 minutes. There are no issues with the engine, transmission, brakes, overheating, or electrical system, except for the wiper motor, which currently does not work (The wiper motor was in working order before, so I'll test it to see if I can get it back to work). All gauges work, as well as the turn signals. This is a perfect example of an unmolested, original matching numbers TD that can be used either as a daily driver, or with little investment can be turned into a show winner. There's a lot of chromed parts, and some need to be polished. It includes a luggage rack and a built in temperature gauge in the radiator cap (not original to the car). It also includes an older top and original side curtains, as well as crank shaft handle. The paint has some scratches, and at some points it has cracks. The yellow stripe is painted, and obviously not original to TDs. The car will need new tires, and doors need to be adjusted. The top of the grill has a small ding less than an inch in diameter. I am selling my TD because I recently retired and plan to relocate back to San Diego, and I can't take all my collection with me (by the way, neither the Healey nor the MGA in some of the pictures are for sale). There is no warranty, written or implied, and the car is sold "as is". So please take a good look at the pictures, and ask any questions via email through eBay, before committing to purchase. I require a $500 deposit within 72 hours of auction close, and payment of balance amount within five days of auction close. I accept Paypal on the deposit amount. Balance must be paid via a Cashier's Check, or bank wire transfer. I can sell to proper buyer anywhere, but buyer is responsible for arranging for transportation and related costs. Vehicle will not be released until funds clear. I may advertise the car for sale locally, thus, I reserve the right to take this TD off from auction if the car sells elsewhere.
