I have a friend of mine with a old MG he is wanting to sell after 38 years. The car is running and in good condition. I suggest local pickup. If you would like to arrange for a shipper to pick it up Im ok with that. Payment of $500 within 24 hours. Full payment can be done via cash personal check (after funds clear) or we will work something out. Please email with any questions. Thanks..good luck…
The history of the 1952 MG TD Mark 11 when I purchased it in the early ‘70’s. Originally it was the car of a truck driver in Ca. I have the original work-shop manual with a sticker from Ca. I bought it from a fellow in Kankee by the name of George who’s wife happened to be named Debbie. She was too short to reach the peddles, so he sold it to me for I believe $2,300. It would jump-out of 1st gear,so I spent over $600 of new parts and have had further work done on 1st gear, and it still jumps out. It was white when I got it. I think its original color was British Racing Green. I had it re-painted in the late ‘70’s. as you now see it. The engine is exact except for the plugs.New, are the bumpers, steering wheel, top, side-curtains and a $600 set of 4-new tires put-on two years ago.
I have been driving it just a little bit in the summer. Most of the time its stored in the garage covered-up. It would ride a lot smoother if it had shocks. Years ago it had them. They’d hang down so I had them taken-off I still have most of the things that were-replaced. The Ohley boys biggest chuckle about the MG was when I drove it in the 4th of July parade and they had to walk along side of me in it. I have had it appraised by a professional restoration car dealer and he said insure it for $12,500. That is my asking price. I’ll go down this month to my office and start it up for awhile. It could use some more things done to it, but I drive it back and forth to the bars in the summer,ha ha, ha. Geo. Little girls and boys wave to me and say “Nice Car”.
