I have an all original 1972 MG "split bumper" Midget for sale. This is the first year for the round rear wheel wells on this line of cars. This is basically a one owner car. I purchased it from a woman in Wyoming who purchased the car new in Costa Mesa, CA in 1972. The trunk, frame, and floor pans are all solid and rust free. The interior is all original, except for the window cranks. This car was in storage for 3+ years when I purchased it. I does appear to have an older repaint, but I am not certain. The odometer reads 54k, which is actual mileage according to the previous owner. It does have a couple of rust spots on the right rear fender, and along the right rocker panel. Although it's not perfect, this car, in my opinion, is a very unmolested and low milage survivor. It is currently running and driving. I usually drive it once a week to work, and some on the weekends. It has passed a Texas Safety inspection and has antique auto tags. I recently installed new rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, rear seals & bearings, new brake hoses, and a new master cylinder. The picture of the engine was taken before I replaced the master cylinder. I replaced the fuel pump with an aftermarket, but I do have the original pump that I planned on restoring but never found the time. I have the original owners manual, original aftermarket catalog, and the original carburetor synchronization tool. The top is not perfect, there are a couple of holes, and a split on the rear window. I also have the original tonneau cover for the car along with new hoses, thermostat and gasket. There is no warranty, car is sold as it.
