Up for auction is a 1978 MGB in what I would call a"very nice driver ". The car has had much work done and looks nice.

Mechanicals: The car has been well taken care of and the following work was completed within the last 1500 miles: complete engine rebuild, new Weber DVG carburetor and intake manifold, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new alternator, new hood insulation kit installed, new complete exhaust system( all the way from the exhaust manifold to the tail pipe ) , new Borg clutch, new Borg pressure plate, new release bearing, fly wheel resurfaced, new plugs, new points, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, radiator flushed and the oil changed. The car runs and drivers out very nicely with no know issues. The car starts right up with no smoke, noises or shacking about. The car holds very good oil pressure and does not over heat ( see photos ). The transmission shifts up / down through all gears very well and makes no noises. The car will reverse up an incline with no issues and does not pop out of gear when doing so. The clutch peddle is strong as are the brakes. I would not hesitate to drive this car any distance.

Electrical's: This area looks very solid. The head lights work ( high beam and low beam ), wipers work, blower fan works, brake lights work, front and rear directional lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash light dimmer switch works, license plate lights work, reverse lights work, map light works, seat belt warning light works, radio works, windshield washer fluid pump works as well as the jets, lighter works and get this the clock works!

Gauges: All gauges are correct "Smith" brand and all are in proper working order at this time.

Interior: The interior is overall good condition ( see photos ). It has a very nice dash, good serviceable carpet, new MG logo rubber floor mats and new sun visors. There is also a set of seat covers and headrest covers in the trunk.

Exterior: The exterior is in what I call "nice driver quality" condition. The tires are all matching Firestone radials with good tread life remaining. The top is in good serviceable condition. The car comes with an almost new Tonneau cover that doubles as a top cover. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground and has no signs of sagging or the dreaded "MG left leaning" issues. I think the front and rear springs where replaced about 2 years ago. The windshield, door glass, vent glass are all original and are clear / cloud free. I have ordered a replacement cover for the license plate light cover that is missing and it will be installed prior to auctions end.

Trunk: IS very solid and has had a carpet kit installed, spare tire, jack, lug wrench and a new trunk seal has been installed. There is also a set of seat covers and headrest covers in the trunk.

Underbody: This area looks very good and all original. I have underbody and floor pan photos that are available upon request so please let me know if you wish to see them.

Extra Photos: I have 80 extra photos of the car detailing nearly every inch of the car including the underbody. If you have real interest in the car please send me an email and I'll get them right over to you. I will need to send you 4 emails as the photo file is HUGE.
