Up for auction is a 1972 MGB in what I would call a"nice driver ". The car has had much work done, looks nice, drives great, has cloth soft top, hard top and much, much more so take your time and read this auction in its entirety.

Heritage: This is a purported to be a numbers matching car and I have done my research and believe it to be so. The production date is 9/71, commission number is G23N0398692, engine number is 18V584Z-L2276 and the vin number is GHN5UC261255G. You should do your own research to ensure that my research is correct. Mechanicals: The car runs and drivers out very nicely with no know issues and starts right up with just a touch of the key and has great engine / throttle response. The car starts right up with no smoke, noises, ticks or shacking about. The car holds very good oil pressure and does not over heat ( see photos ). The engine is very tight with no fluid leaks or drips under the car that I have seen. The transmission shift very well. The car will reverse up an incline with no issues and does not pop out of gear. The clutch peddle is strong as are the brakes. I would not hesitate to drive this car any distance at this time. The car was just serviced with new points, plugs, oil change, new air filters, valve adjustment and coolant fluid changed. The clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, alternator, starter motor, heater control valve and fan belt where all replaced around 2500 miles ago. Also, the car has been upgraded with an external oil cooler with all stainless steel braided oil lines which was installed last year.

Electrical's: This area looks very solid with no Lucas "gremlins" here. The head lights work ( high beam and low beam ), wipers work, blower fan works, brake lights work, front and rear directional lights work, front and rear running lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash light dimmer switch works, license plate lights work, reverse lights work, map light / courtesy light works, washer pump works and the hazard switch works.

Gauges: All gauges are correct "Smith" brand and all are in proper working order at this time ( see photo ).

Interior: The interior is overall very good condition ( see photos ). It has a very nice dash, good serviceable carpet, new sun visors and a like new Moto-Lita steering wheel.

Exterior: The exterior is in what I call "driver quality" condition. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground and has no signs of sagging or the dreaded "MG left leaning" issues. The panel fit and gap fit is very nice ( see photos ) All glass is original "Triplex" and they are clear and cloud free. Solid and damage free jack points. The wheels are just stunning! The wheels have been sand blasted and repainted in correct factory colors. The center MG wheels caps are new, chrome lug nuts are new and the wheels are wrapped in new all matching high end Firestone radials. The car also sports a near new chrome luggage rack that really helps set the car off.

Soft Top: The soft top is a very high end cloth type and had to be special ordered. It looks and fits great but could use a light cleaning. The car also come with a nice black top cover ( see photos ).

Hard Top: The car top is in very nice condition and it sets this car apart from most of the other MGB's out there and allows year round use. The gaskets, window seals and windows are in very nice condition. The hard top was produced by Snugtop of Long Beach California and are very difficult to come by.

Trunk: IS very solid and has had a carpet kit installed, spare tire original jack and lug wrench.
