Up for auction is a 1974 MGB in nice driver condition. This car is appears to be a numbers matching car. I have done my research online and believe it to be so but you would need to do your own research to ensure that is the case. The commission number is G23N097568, vin # is GHN5UE344572G, engine # is 18V672Z-L282977 and the production date is 3/1974.. Options: This car has a soft top and an after market Parish hard top. Sorry the car does NOT have over drive.

Mechanicals: The car runs and drivers out very nicely. The engine starts right up with no smoke, rattles or shaking. I let the car idle yesterday in the drive for nearly two hours and she held good oil pressure ( right at 55 lbs ) and did not over heat. The engine, transmission and rear end are the tightest I have ever seen! I have never found a single drop of fluid ANYWHERE under the car and I would know as I have a painted garage floor. The transmission works well with no noises and shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues. The car will reverse up an incline with no issues and does not pop out of gear. The clutch peddle is strong as are the brakes. The hand brake works very well. The car was just serviced with new plugs, wires, oil change, coolant was drained / flushed and new coolant added. The engine bay appears to very original and looks to have all the original and correct emissions and smog equipment. The car does have an after market electrical radiator fan to improve cooling in hot weather / city driving. The alternator is a newer Bosch one. The air filters are K & N type to improve engine performance.

Electrical's: This area looks very solid! The car still retains the original twin 6 volt battery set up! All gauges appear to be in proper working order ( see photo ). The head lights work, wipers work, blower fan works, brake lights work, rear directional lights work, running lights work, front and rear side marker lights work, back up lights work, map / courtesy light works, trunk light works, horn works and the license plate lights work.

Interior: The interior is of good driver quality ( see photos ). The dash top does have some cracks and is need of a new dash cap. All windows are clear and scratch free. Both drivers and passenger windows need some tweaking / adjustment as they are difficult to get up and down. The carpets are good and has new MG logo rubber floor mats. The seats are in nice condition as well.

Exterior: The car has perfect black soft top and a nice Parish hard top. All the chrome looks to be in good serviceable condition ( see photos ). The tires are all matching radials and are in good condition and has new chrome wheel trim rings. The paint is of good driver quality but does have some paint bubbles ( see photos ) and a few other flaws as well. The car has had a small repair around the front passengers headlight. The car sits nicely on the ground with no major sagging or leaning issues ( see photos ). The car from what I can tell was originally white in color.

Misc: The car does NOT have a top cover, no tonneau cover or jack.
