Up for auction is a very nice 1980 MGB with a 4 speed manual transmission ( non-overdrive ). The car is in very nice condition so please take time to read the entire auction.

Mechanicals: The car runs and drivers out very nicely with no know issues at this time. The car starts right up with no smoke or noises. The car holds very good oil pressure ( 65 lbs. at warm idle ) and does not over heat. The transmission shift very well up / down thru all the gears with no noises or scraping. The car will reverse up an incline with no issues and does not pop out of gear. The clutch peddle is good as are the brakes. The car was just serviced this week with new plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor button, oil change, oil filter and a new air filter. During the service done this week it was noted that the alternator was putting out about 1 amp less that it should so the shop has ordered a new one and it is scheduled to be replaced on Tuesday June 29th.

Electrical's: This area looks very solid with no Lucas "gremlins" here. The head lights work ( high beam and low beam ), wipers work, blower fan works, brake lights work, front and rear directional lights work, front and rear running lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash light dimmer switch works, license plate lights work, reverse lights work, map light / courtesy light works, horn works, hazard switch works and the radio works. I have ordered a lighter to replace the one that is missing.

Gauges: All gauges are correct "Smith" brand and all are in working order at this time with the exception of the gas gauge. The gauge is fine but the sending unit needs to be replaced ( about a $50 fix ).

Interior: The interior is overall good condition ( see photos ). Not sure if shows in the photos but the outer drivers side bolster panel needs to be replaced. The car does come with a set of seat covers as well.

Exterior: The exterior is in what I call very nice condition. The car has the high end wire wheel upgrade which really gives the look of a true British sports car. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground and has no signs of sagging or the dreaded "MG left leaning" issues. The front / rear dog legs and rocker panels are in great shape with no signs of damage or repairs. All glass is original "Triplex" and they are clear and cloud free. Solid and damage free jack points. The front 2 tires where replaced this week and the rear tires where replaced about a year ago.

Underbody: The underbody looks original and solid with no signs of repairs ( the car was stored in doors most of her life so she is very solid ). I have underbody photos available to those who have a real interest in the car ( just ask and I'll send them over to you ).

Soft Top: The soft top isin like new condition and fits perfectly and has a zip out rear window.

Trunk: IS very solid. The trunk has a carpet kit installed along with a spare tire with MG logo cover. The trunk has in it the original jack & stowage bag, spare wire wheel and tire.

Accessories: The car comes with all the highly sought after goodies! Car has a like new top cover, like new Tonneau cover and the rare and hard to find Tonneau cover support rails and stowage bag.
