Mgb 1974 Chrome Bumper Roadster **no Reserve **" Ultimate Garage Find" on 2040-cars
Novi, Michigan, United States
You are viewing a 1974 MGB Chrome Bumper Roadster "garage find" example in a very rare MG color.
Being offered at "No Reserve". Vin #: GHN5UE338309 - Manufacture date of 12/73 Engine #: 18GF-WE-H 13528 Color: Yellow (original color) with black interior. Clear "Michigan" Title Mileage: 89,506 I will be adding more pictures within the next few days. The MG has been garage stored and has seen very little use over the years. Ready to be driven and enjoyed this summer. Perfect for the MG enthusiast with a limited budget that wants an MG that can be driven and enjoyed immediately. Shows very nicely, and always gets compliments whenever it's driven. As you can see from the pictures, the MG is a well preserved and does not look like a 40 year old car. I purchased the "B" from an older gentleman that had owned and maintained the MG for many years. It had been his wife's car, so making sure it was a reliable driver was his primary concern. It was used as a fair weather car only and as noted has seen very little use over the years which is noted by the low miles. Under the hood the MG looks all original except for the new the weber carb. The engine runs great with strong oil pressure. Always starts easily with the new weber carb with electric choke. Transmission shifts fine with no issues. Clutch feels good as well. Brakes work fine. Tires are in good condition. Exhaust in good condition with no leaks. Has newer battery with no charging issues. Despite being British, it does not seem to have any oil leak issues. The interior is in very good condition as shown in the pictures. The seats are in good condition with the exception of the driver's seat which has a few tears. Both door panels are in nice condition. Dash in excellent condition with no cracks. Carpet is relatively new and in excellent condition. All gauges in good condition, and I believe they are all in working condition. The body is in solid condition as shown in the pictures. Rocker panels are solid as well. Paint shows nicely with a good shine. The paint is an older repaint that has held up nicely. Rust is pretty much limited to some bubbling at the top of the rear fenders and also near the cowl area. This appears to have occurred when the MG had been covered and in storage. Floors are solid with the exception of the driver's side as shown in the underside pictures. **It should be noted that in some of the pictures the MG looks more green than yellow.** In person it is more "yellow" than "green". Known Issues: Heater not hooked up. Convertible top has a few small tears. Sometimes there is a slight delay of the starter motor turning over, but always starts - might be a starter connection. Emergency brake does not "hold". **Tonneau cover and radio plate are not included - they were "borrowed" from my other MG. Once again, being sold as a "No Reserve" Auction, so high bidder will win! On Jun-30-14 at 21:36:29 PDT, seller added the following information: "Black" portion of the grill on driver's side has a broken piece - hard to notice, but worth mentioning. |
