I am just the second owner of this car - Runs great, She is fun and start on first turn. A wonderful car for those nice Spring/Summer/Fall days. From Original Ad I bought from: "Bought this car in 1975 in Scottsdale, AZ. My first car. It was a dealer demo and had 1,000 miles on it. It has never seen snow. I have had some custom work done; it has a weber carburetor and high performance exhaust system so its a bit peppier than your typical B." I have kept it as a toy, only gong out on weekends in Spring and Summer. Condition: Good Condition. Others have commented how she shines. Usual paint nicks. Body is in good shape. Missing one of the lift the dot posts. Main body issue is top. Need a new top and rivet on frame Interior has always had seat covers, so seats in good condition (some minor tears) Hinge on arm rest compartment busted (as on every MG I have ever know). Some bubbling on paint on lower panels behind front tires and in front of rear tiles (on lower panel, not in wheel well). Passenger window crank knob broken (not the handle, just the little knob on end), replacement included, I just never bothered to put it on. Standard Transmission - No Overdrive. Missing one MG badge on one wheel. Repairs/Upgrades: First owner (I am second) replaced SU with Weber Carb and Monza exhaust, so easy start, a little more pep and as my daughter said sound more Varoomy She was wired for two 6 Volts, I changed to single 12, but kept cable if you want to return to 6 volts. I also replaced heater valve. Repairs from previous Owner (He gave me a stack of receipts): Throttle repair spring(sticking) Repaired Dist Cap, Points and rotor Replaced master cylinder Valve cover gasket New windshield |
