Up for bid is a classic piece of automotive history, a 1969 MGB Roadster named "Margaret." I am Margaret's third owner. Her first owner lived in Anaheim, California. The second owner was "Lou Dog," an artist, designer and builder of "Lou Riders," and drummer for the Kottonmouth Kings, who also lives in Southern California. I am Margaret's third owner and she still retains her original black California plates (see pics) which is very cool!
She comes with a soft top, hard top, tonneau cover, a multi-layer car cover, and gray spoke wire wheels (including spare).
Car Number is GHN4U160828G which stands for: G - MG H - Leyland type engine N - 2-seater 4 - Type serial number U - Standard 160828G - Serial number
Engine Number is 18GF-RWE-H7030 which stands for: 18 - 1798cc engine, (1.8L) G - MG F - Type serial number RWE - All synchromesh with overdrive (gearbox type) H - High compression 7030 - Serial number
As I am moving and cannot take her with me, Margaret requires a new home. She has, as virtually all MGB's have or have had, developed some rust around her bottom panels, but nothing drastic. The first time I sat in an MGB was back in 1983. It was at night in a desolate used car sales lot. It was then that my love for MGB's began. I purchased my first one five years later, and with catalogs from Moss Motors and The Roadster Factory, I made her perfect. I was planning on doing the same with Margaret.
Here is the work on her that I know of:
