Gt, Hardtop, Coupe, on 2040-cars
Kernersville, North Carolina, United States
1969 MGB GT Great driving and looking car. I bought the car basically as it sits last July from a doting owner from NY but the car spent most of its restored life at his home in FL. He ran out of space and that’s where I am right now. I have all the restoration pictures and receipts from a doctor that spent the money to do this car right. This car was really gone through stem to stern in 2000. Paint, engine, transmission, interior and underbody were looked after. So it’s a 14 year old resto based on what I know and the car is clean. The only issue I see is a tiny blister (less the size of a dime) on each door in the lower front corner, a scrape, a touch up and very light blister along moulding. Everything I see, is documented in the pictures attached to this ad. The odometer shows less than 74,000 miles but I don’t know if this represents the actual mileage. Just took it to the local British car experts and they were floored by the attention to detail on the build. I spent $800 on May 3, 2014, on getting the wheels trued, the auxiliary fan hooked back up (I’ve never needed it but I wanted the car right for a new owner) and new wheel cylinders in the rear. As a result the car runs out smoothly and they even re-sprayed the wheels for me while they were off the car. Car also got a new battery and inner tube in right rear this winter. Clean interior and underbody as result of the restoration and not being winter driven since. Car has ALWAYS started when asked, oil pressure is where it should be, it runs cool and all the electrics work. I drive the car to the office at least once a week and start it once a week during the winter. It has been reliable and the source of compliments wherever it’s driven. I’m also including a full complement of manuals, literature and the restoration binder. U.S. bidders only. Buyer to provide certified check and arrange shipping within 7 days of auction close. I’ll send the title once check clears and work with your shipper on pickup. Car is listed as is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. No bidders with fewer than 10 instances of feedback without prior contact. |
