You are bidding on a completely restored, show quality 1964 (pull handle) MGB Roadster with Black exterior over Black leather interior. Comes with the official British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate showing exactly how the car left the factory on the 13th of November 1963. This is an outstanding original, low mileage MGB that is ready to be shown or driven. This particular MGB is in superb overall condition as can be seen by the photos. It is not a fresh restoration but an older restoration of an original car that has been driven, maintained and even improved along the way. According to the Heritage Certificate, it left the factory with Engine # 18G-U-H/25792, Body # 24171 and essentially every option available at the time (Wire wheels, Heater, Tonneau cover, Whitewall tires, Ashtray and sway bar). The exterior of the car (paint, chrome and glass) are all in good condition. The Paint itself has a mirror like finish (see photos) being the result of a very high quality bare metal respray many years ago. It shines like new, but having been driven has its share of chips, scratches and stress cracks to be expected of an early MGB. Comes as well with all of the original weather equipment (black convertible top and black tonneau cover). Both are in very good condition with no rips or tears in the vinyl and the soft top windows are still clear and presentable (see photos). Even the trunk area shows well being completely carpeted with MG logo spare tire cover and correct jute-backed vinyl jack bag (see photo). The interior of the car (seats, cockpit, carpet, door panels and dash) are also in very good condition. The Moto-Lita wood steering wheel, painted dash and vinyl trim parts all show as new and contribute to a nice overall interior patina. Mechanically the car runs and drives beautifully. One of the easiest starting best driving MGB's to be found. Clutch, Transmission and Brakes are all working exactly as they should so you can be confident knowing that it is ready for the road. All 5 painted wire wheels and chrome knock-offs were new at the time of the restoration and remain in good condition while riding on Hankook P175/70R14 Radial White Wall tires with plenty of tread. The spare itself is identical to the rest (see photo). Included as well are the original jack, knock off hammer, car cover, brand new set of MG logo floor mats, owner’s manual and miscellaneous MG catalogues. Please ask all questions prior to bidding and do not bid unless you intend to buy. Vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranties either expressed or implied. A $2,000 non-refundable purchase deposit is due within 2 days of the close of the auction.
