This beautiful 1973 MGB/GT is owned and maintained by a professional restorer.  It is considered a solid #2 driver-quality car.
It's set up for long-distance highway driving; it drives clean and straight with no vibration.  Shifter and overdrive engage perfectly.  All gauges read correctly.

1 Body: No rust or accident damage.  Garage-kept.  The car is complete with all original panels and trim.  Doors close correctly with
good gaps.  Factory undercoat from new.  Jacking points solid.  Comes with good spare tire, jack and wrench.  Bridgestone
185/70/14s have approx. 85% tread remaining.

2 Engine: Re-built, big-valve cylinder head.  Both SU HIF-4 carburetors re-built.  Re-built distributor, replaced alternator, starter motor and head gasket.  Replaced water pump, installed after-market aluminum valve cover and air cleaners.  Compression-test results: 150psi on ALL cylinders.  Oil and filter changed in August to Castrol SAE 20w50.  Oil pressure: 50Lbs.@ idle; 65Lbs. @ 2,500RPM.

3 Cooling system: Flushed engine, new radiator hoses and fan belt, new 160-deg. thermostat and heater valve.  New water pump and 19-row oil cooler with stainless-steel hoses.  Replaced stock electrical temperature gauge with accurate mechanical unit.

4 Fuel system:  New fuel tank, sender and fuel pump, new fuel filter. 

5 Ignition system: Re-built stock distributor with new points, Bosch plugs and condenser, sport coil, Cobalt spark plug wires, highlighted timing marks.

6 Transmission:  Replaced with re-built 1976 overdrive unit, re-wired to engage in 3rd and 4th gear.  Switch located on shift knob.  New clutch assembly, master cylinder and both U-joints.

7 Exhaust system: Bead-blasted and painted stock manifold and new studs, new manifold gasket, tourist trophy stainless steel free-flow exhaust system with new gaskets and rubber hangars.

8 Suspension:  Replaced front shocks only (rest of the system in good condition).

9 Brakes:  Front calipers, rotors and pads OK.  Rebuilt entire rear brakes system, including shoes, wheel cylinders, springs.  Replaced brake master cylinder.

10 Interior: All old tan interior and foam removed.  Replaced with Autumn red w/white piping high-quality vinyl upholstery.  This includes a complete panel set, rear seat and matching carpeting.  Front seats received new diaphragms, foam cushions and extra lumbar padding.  Heat shielding installed at the firewall.  Extra padding installed under carpet.  Seat runners cleaned and lubricated.

11 Electrical system: All wiring sorted and all connectors cleaned.  Everything works.  Battery kill switch located behind seat.  Courtesy lights at both foot wells.  Panasonic AM-FM radio with 2 speakers.

This is a well-sorted, great-driving GT.  This car can be driven anywhere in great comfort and reliability.  All gauges read correctly and the overdrive transmission is wired to engage in 3rd and 4th gear.  I rebuilt the seats with perfect comfort and support in mind.  She drives like new.  For overseas buyers, I have arranged to ship 3 cars through ports of Baltimore and Bayonne, NJ.  If necessary, I will deliver the car from my shop to either of those ports for a pre-determined cost.  The vehicle comes with a complete repair history and clean title.  $500.00 refundable deposit to be paid at the end of the auction.  Cash, wire transfer or certified funds to be paid and cleared before the car is picked up within 7 days after the auction ends.  I can be reached at almost any time with questions or concerns.  Neil:  Gronsbell@comcast.net     410)430-9492
