1980 Limited Edition MGB roadster for sale. 123,000 actual miles ,I believe I am the third owner. First the body is in excellent condition,no evidence of rust or rust repair.Except for the hood all paint appears to be original .The hood was resprayed at some point and an excellent job was done .The body is straight with very few scratches or dings. The stainless and chrome trim are in excellent condition, with no pitting or discoloration. The doors do not have the normal stress cracks by the mirrors and the stainless steel vent window frames are also stress- crack free. The underside is also clean with most of the factory undercoating present. Exterior lights are all working properly. Tires and Ansa exhaust are like new.The clear coat on the LE wheels is failing in spots, otherwise the wheels are excellent with no curbing.
The engine and transmission are solid. The original carb and cat are still present .This car has not been modified. The cars starts well and idles down from cold start as it should. The engine is responsive and revs easily. Out on the road the car tracks straight and the brakes stop without pulling. The transmission doesn't grind or pop out of gear on deceleration. The suspension is tight and doesn't knock or wander, freshly greased.
The interior is clean with freshly reupholstered seats, unfortunately they are black and the other panels are beige. It is really the only knock on the car,but it's an easy fix.The dash has one crack. All electrics are functioning including the clock. This car came with A/C . It is in it's original condition and was not changed over to 134a,the system is depressurized . To top it all off there is an almost new canvas type convertible top ,they cost around $600.I don't know much of the history but know it has been cared for .Originally purchased from Hansford Pontiac in Minneapolis
