1979 MGB is as found, except for 2 tires, the ones that were on it were dry rotted. It has 43,000 original miles! It was traded back and forth within the same family a couple of times, we have the titles to prove that. It was put up in 1999, in a barn (yes, really) till 2013. It does have a newer top, and comes with the tonneau cover also. Yes, it runs!!! It was put up properly, since it was always under the care of a good mechanic, so all we did was a new battery, go through the hoses and rebuilt the carb. Missing the door key and a trunk lock- we were told that the door key was lost, and they had to get into the trunk, so they drilled the lock out. Paint is OK, it looks like it could be buffed out and look decent The body is straight, there are two small dents, one on the driver's side rear quarter panel on the trim, and the other on the trunk lid. There is no rust in the rocker panels, which, from experience tend to rust out first. Minimal rust here and there, nothing that looks bad. Single carb!!! yay!!! We bled the clutch. The interior is in pretty darn good condition, except for the center console top, see pic. The seat upholstery is good, no rips, but the stuffing is gone (disintegrated)! Starter is dead. We have the original window sticker, owner's manual, and the titles as they were traded back and forth in that family.
We are located in the Lake Jackson area, about 40 miles south of Houston. Call us and come take a look if you are local! Make an offer. Asking $4800.00 now. It is a restoration in progress, so as we restore it, we will be asking more for it. 979-824-8280
