I brought it up from Arizona in 1989 with the intention of restoring it, but never got around to it. Since the body is solid, it would be an easy restoration, no need to weld in patch panels or rusted out floors. Most of the parts are readily available and cheap! Last year I took it out of storage and installed electronic ignition, high torque starter, rebuilt carb, fresh synthetic oil in the engine, trans and rear end, and 5yr antifreeze. It comes with some spare parts, like the turn signal switch, which I never got around to replacing (it works but doesn't cancel after the turn). The emission equipment was removed by the previous owner, but as an antique car, emission tests are not required in Illinois.
Although not bad, it could probably use a new exhaust system, set of tires and maybe a Weber carb conversion. The trunk looks rusty, but there are no holes, it is only surface rust, I had a jug of antifreeze in there which leaked. It soaked the carpet and lifted the paint leaving the a film of rust on the bare metal. The odometer is stuck at about 67,000, so the true mileage is unknown.
I never drove it in rain or snow, or with the top up, never even turned on the wipers, and there is no evidence that it was ever driven snow. You would know, drive it through one winter here and you would have a rust bucket, like all the local ones.
Would make a great winter project, fix it up over the winter and go cruising next spring! or drive it as-is.
