This listing is for a 1975 MGB V8 project. Included is an MGB bodyshell that is in excellent condition with the exception of the LH floorboard which has some small holes. Rest of the car is straight and rust free. Was painted viper red about 2 years ago. Included with the car are seat frames, convertible top frame and header rail. Pedal box, heater box and washer res were powder coated. New brake M/C. Wiring is in very good condition. Glass is very good. Dash does need a top cover.
The engine is a Rover 4.2 V8 that was rebuilt. Has had the liners replaced. Inspection, machine work and assembly was performed by Autoparts Machine Shop in Ann Arbor. Crankshaft checked out okay and was polished. rods were resized, pistons inspected and cleaned. block was inspected, old liners ground out, new ones installed for the stock pistons. Block was decked, main bore checked out okay. Heads were machined, 3 angle valve work, new seals and springs. Have rebuilt rocker arm assemblies and pushrods to go with it. Also ceramic coated/powder coated valve covers. Both heads heads and block pressure checked. Assembled with new gaskets, bearings, rings, Has the oil pickup and oil pan installed. No carb or air filter.
Included with the engine is a Buick 215 4bbl instake, Buick 215 timing cover, harmonic balancer, Buick 215 distributor, pulleys, new water pump, Crower 50228 cam and lifters, timing chain set, geared reduction starter, billet light weight flywheel (23 lbs.), new clutch assembly, hydraulic throwout bearing, ceramic coated large bore (! 5/8") RV8 style headers with down pipes.
The Borg Warner T5 5 speed is from a Camaro Z28 and has the correct gearing for the conversion. It is presently in the shop being rebuilt. The T5 in the photo is not the one that will go with the conversion. With the T5 is a bellhousing and driveshaft.
Also included are engine mounts, gearbox crossmember and T5 mount (all powder coated)
Just about everything needed is included with this project.

Have rebuilt S10 axle (3.44:1 & posi) that is not included in the auction but can be purchased if desired. This axle was professionally gone through....housing was narrowed, axle cut & resplined, new spring perches, new seals, bearings, etc. Can be set up for either disc or drum brakes.
Lastly am selling as I have too many projects.
