This was a long time friends father son project that never was completed -- all the dirty work is done. Totally rust free, accident free car -- Car was repainted, both interior and exterior (much of the car was disassembled) . Original color green -- Many new parts. New interior, door panels, carpet, glass is excellent -- Engine and drive train are out of the car, both are in good condition. Engine turns freely and was running when I took it out of a 1972 B about a year or so ago. Weber carb set up included --
Car has always been in a garage since project was started, never outside.
Car is totally rust free, uni-body and pan look new with no signs of any rust. No accidents, paint is in excellent condition but has a few blemishes due to transporting.
Documented history from new -- car was originally purchased in South Carolina.
Car has moved twice since the project was started so some parts may not be in the boxes. What needs to be done is reinstall the following: all master cylinders and brake/clutch lines; Engine & drive train; hook up wiring (wiring was not taken out - only disconnected); install various pieces that were taken off for painting (door window, latches, panels, carpet, etc) There are some parts you will want to purchase, such as a new clutch assembly (just to be on the safe side).
I am a MG buff - 40+ years. This was not my project but acquired it because the car is way to nice to simply park. I have several other MG projects (TF, A, 2 early B's, and a TD race car) in front of this one and at 67 years old, I will never get to all my projects, let alone this one.
This should be a fairly simple completion -
VERY REASONABLE RESERVE --- You cannot buy a fixer upper and the new parts that are included for what the reserve is. Labor and paint alone would be way above the reserve. (The interior panels, seats (front and rear), etc for the GT is over $2000)
Look at the pictures and bid accordingly - I will take pictures of any portion of the car or the parts or anything from any angle you want.
