A great fresh restoration of a low mileage Roadster. This car had sat for many years partially disassembled in the garage. The motor had been rebuilt, gauges added, and various other bits restored. Last year the time came to finish the project. It had been ignored for too long.

The car was transported to a local restorer. The work is done in his well equipped 4 car garage. He knows how to start and finish a car. I have seen some beauties emerge from his shop. I am selling this car for my father-in-law. He lives in the same small community as the restorer, same church, etc. They have been friends for years. Anyway, that's is how he agreed to do the MG. I am so far down on list, I doubt that my Corvair Spyder will ever get in the door. Hope springs eternal.

Anyway, work began. All the needed body work was accomplished. Any attacks by the East Coast Tinworn (and there were very few) were defeated by replacing with new metal. The interior, small pieces, carpet were removed to get to every nook and cranny. Blocked and painted. Not another BRITISH RACING GREEN. Pops still has his good taste. It is the great mint green. The engine was assembled and fired. There was a stuck oil relief valve that caused some excitement in the process. Carbs were rebuild, no stinking WEBER. The car runs like a well oiled noisy watch. He opted to forgo the stock exhaust system and installed a loud 100MPH muffler. You can tell when he is going for groceries. There are several additional gauges installed and the gear shift lever has been shortened. He drove me around town and it handled just as it should, received a lot of looks and waves. And, I had a blast.

The seats and convertible top are the original and did not need replacing. Complete carpet was installed

The tires are great and the wheels are real wire.

It has only be driven a few miles since completed. This has been around Galax, VA. The boys down at the NAPA go nuts over it. He has had several great cars. Many of them have been sold in the past few years. This MG has always been his favorite. And that shows in the present condition of the car. They may let you into the parking lot at Pebble Beach. Don't expect the drive in front of the grandstand. The car is super nice and restored to be a driver. He does. The rest of the time the car is stored inside. Never outside.

The title is clear and ready to transfer.
