1972 MGB GT in very good condition.
I bought this car here on ebay about 4 years ago.At the time,it was never mentioned that there was salvage history on the title.Just letting prospective buyers know.I drove it as a daily driver for close to 3 years.Never any real problems. No frame damage at all.It looks like it was most likely hit on the passenger side door.In all likelyhood, the insurance co didn't know it's value and wrote it off.
Okay, the car.In the past several months I've done a lot of resto work. All new brakes, front and rear.Front, new slotted/drilled rotors, new pads, new hardware. The calipers were rebuilt with new parts.Rear, new drums, new shoes, new wheel cylinders,& new hardware. Also, new handbrake cable. In addition, new master cylinder & new brake light switch.I installed new headers with a new Monza exhaust system. The front suspension has had most bushings replaced with new.The SU carbs have been rebuilt with a new electronic SU fuel pump. Also,a new Flame Thrower electronic distributor. All tires (5) are new Yokohama's.I also bought a new matching wheel as a spare. The interior is in very good condition too.The drivers seat is perfect. The passenger seat was perfect but,I managed to carelessly punch a hole in the backrest.I have since repaired it.Al lights, including the interior lights work as does the cig lighter. The dark brown carpet is new but,it's started to fade already. The rear seat is also in very good condition even though it's pretty much useless.I installed battery sleeves in both battery compartments. Now,there's a place for a few spare parts and tools. It had a good radio w/am-fm-cd player but,no speakers. The speakers that were in the car before were mounted in the rear side panels and those panels were torn up.I installed newer panels and will leave speaker installation and location to the new owner. All rubber around the windows and doors is new too.The body is in very good condition but,it will need a few minor dents remover and a new paint job to make it awesome. It doesn't look too bad right now though. All in all, this is a very good example of the MGB GT.It is a vintage car but, there are still many on the road.I still have 3 other MGB's.I'm selling it for the $$$ and,I just have too many other car projects.5 more,in fact.I'm placing a very reasonable reserve on it.Good luck and "Safety Fast"
At the close of the auction,a $500 deposit, through Paypal, will be required within 24 hours. The balance will be due within 5 days of the end of the auction. If you don't have the funds, please don't bid on it.Anyone who bids & wins and backs out will be publicly humiliated, given a very negative feedback.So...BEWARE.
