This is a running and driving 1971 Mgb with ~75,000 original miles and a 4 speed gear box, the odometer/speedometer did recently stop working but all other gauges and electrical does work. Let me start out by saying that I purchased this car earliar this year at an estate sale, it was on the road last year and has a current NYS inspection sticker. I drove the car home 30 miles without any incident- it did sound like it had an exhaust leak. The previous owner passed away, his son stated that the car had a new clutch and rear main seal w/speedi-sleeve installed within the last 1,000 miles and it also has a brand new battery. The car is in decent conditon for its age, the only rust is on the rockers and drivers side floor (see pictures) and a couple small dents (see pics) the frame/suspension/trunk is solid. The car does need some cosmetic attention most notably a new soft top and the british racing green paint is a bit faded. The interior is in pretty good condition with no rips or tears in the carpet or upholstery however the drivers side sun visor is broken off. To my knowledge the car is all orginal other then the aftermarket Radio. The car did occasionaly grind a little bit when shifting into 3rd gear but its nothing that would need immediate attention (worn syncro). There is a full wire wheel spare in the trunk with the original Jack. The car has a clean Nys transferrable registration, I did not plan on selling the car so soon however i'm moving and will not be able to bring all my toys. The reserve will be set low at $500, the car is available to look at in rochester NY, I did my best to describe everything I know about this car and included many pics. if you have questions you can call me at 585-451-4987 and I will do my best to answer them. Please do not bid if you don't have the money!
