This is an extremely rare version of the Classic MGB. It’s getting harder and harder to find such a nice original spec early car. The early “pull handle” MGBs are an extremely rare MG. The very earliest cars not only had the more classic metal dash, but also exterior pull handles as well as many other distinctive features. Most were made in more classic color combos similar to the MGA for example. Very few of these early cars survive, and even fewer in their original configuration with no significant modifications. This car was restored sympathetically to keep as much originality as possible with the intent to compete in the MG show circuit. It has won several awards locally and regionally, and is a beautiful example. The outside is finished in a dark British Racing green, which is a rare period color, used on all the classic MG cars. The interior and top are finished in a beautiful black with white piping. The seats were custom sewn to replicate the orignal pattern and black leather. They are not one of the budget minded kits available out there. Everything in the interior is done to stock specifications, with the only deviation being the upgraded period style wood steering wheel and matching shift knob. The engine bay has been restored with an eye for originality also down to the correct reproduction decals. The car has aso been fitted with a set of reproduction Minilite wheels which were popular as an upgrade when the cars were new. These wheels are 15' which are a slight upgrade giving the car a more purposeful stance and better handilng. It wears new tires as well. Mechanically it is in great condition. Recently the entire brake hydraulic system and Carbs/fuel stytem were replaced and/or rebuilt. It has 65+ lbs of oil pressure at running temp, and does not smoke. The original trans shifts well with no bad noises or popping out of gear. Cosmetically, its in great shape as well. The paint is excellent having been repainted to a good standard. The Conv. top is also new and is in great shape. It also comes with it's original jack (pictured) and the jack bag It has its tonneau bars (not pictured) with storage bag (not pictured) and the original half tonneau cover. While not perfect, this is a very nice sympathetically restored car that has seen limited use outside of shows and club drives. Cars like this rarely come up for sale. It is being reluctantly parted with, so Please be a serious bidder. Make no mistake it will sell. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. Terms: This car must be paid for within 5 days of auction end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however, I can help arrange with a shipper I know at a substantial discount. Of couse, sold as is where is with no guarantees or warranty. To contact me directly, call 405-420-6996 or email
