A stunning solid surviving one owner british racing green 1958 MGA Up for auction is this one owner 1958 MGA, HDK4344247 I was introduced to this car in 2013, and decided to rescue it. The original owner passed away and his wife decided to sell the car. He had purchased the car new in May of 1958. The car was last registered in 1966. I have the Pa. Inspection sticker from 1965. It was stored inside and mostly outside until I came across it in 2013. I have been on a mission to bring it back to life. It was originally red with a black interior. I have redone the car in British racing green with a Moss Motors honey tan interior. The car is complete with most of the original hand tools, knock off hammer, and jack. The only missing parts are the hand crank and side curtains. Odometer reads 20, 000 plus miles. Here is a list of new parts that have been installed on the car: Braking system. All new lines, hoses,master cylinder,wheel cylinders,hardware,emergency cable, and shoes. Clutch. New lines,hoses master cylinder, slave cylinder, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. Heating and cooling system. Refurbished radiator, new hoses, clamps, thermostat, heater control valve, and water pump. Heater box was refurbished. Engine. New water pump, pan gasket, valve cover gasket, points, plugs,wires, cap, fan belt,spin off oil filter, and motor mounts. The engine may have been gone through at some point. Oil pressure is very good and compression is in the range of 153 to 155 across the four cylinders. Transmission. New transmission mount. The transmission may have been gone through at some point. Downshifts well , with no popping out of gear. Fuel system. All new lines, hoses, fuel tank, sending unit, vacuum advance line, and rebuilt carburettors with new gaskets and air filters. Tires. Five new 165sr 15 radials and tubes mounted on refurbished painted wire wheels. Four new knock off spinners complete the look. Exhaust. Moss motors Tourist Trophy stainless exhaust with new hangers, gaskets, and heat stainless heat shield. Body. New inner and outer rockers, sill supports, lower front fender replacement panels, and rear fender dogleg panels were installed. The car was rotisserie built, and the under side was shot with Raptor bed liner. The floor boards are new, and have been stained and urethane. The body is finished in Dupont base coat, clear coat British racing green paint. Carpet. A new black loop carpet set has been installed in the front, and behind the seats. Interior. Moss honey tan deluxe panel and seat kit accent the British racing green well. The seat foams are new as well. The car is also equipped with new seat belts. The doors have new weather stripping, finishers, and sill plates. The steering wheel is a custom wood Tourist Trophy wheel. The steering column is the adjustable option. Suspension, and frame. The frame was stripped, repaired, and painted. New front control arm bushings, rear spring bushings, front outer tie rods, and steering rack boots were installed. . Bright work, and trim. Both the front and rear bumper assemblies and hardware are new. The front vents, mirrors, side curtain mounting hardware, roof bar hold down mounts, windshield grab bars,badging and grille are also new from Moss Motors. Top and Tonneau. A Stayfast tan three window roof has been installed over a refurbished frame. A tan Stayfast tonneau is also included. Electrical system. The car is fitted with a new cloth bound wire harness, new ignition switch,battery cable,rear tail light assemblies, front park light assemblies,and upgraded halogen head lights,windshield wipers,turn signals , and horn all work. Horn could use tunning. Windshield. The windshield glass is in decent shape with a couple of small stone chips. Wiper arms , blades, and washers are new.
