Registered in '61, GHNL2103xxx. NO rust or bondo anywhere, ever! No dents. Undercarriage is solid and original. Good wire wheels with new tires-500 miles. Good chrome, very nice carpeting, new seat covers with new foam bottoms. Functional side curtains with the original carrier bag. Top has no cuts or holes, windows are...viewable. Stock muffler, excellent transmission, clutch, and brakes. However, somewhere down the road it was re-powered with a 1500 MGA motor. Starts fine, runs fine, no smoke or noises. Just 122 cc's smaller. Older red re-paint over original robins egg blue. Yes, painted over the welting. Has many stone chips from many long drives, but looks good from 10'. The other big issues are...the whiteface temp gauge reads 15 degrees high, and the speedo started spinning 20 % higher since I changed the cable?! Running a single 12 volt battery. One side curtain aluminum bracket is missing. Other than that, this MGA has enough nice patina, imho to leave it be. That being said, this is a clean, solid, good running MGA that can be enjoyed as is, or you can light sand it, and put your favorite color $500 Maaco paint job on it, install the purchased new welting, and enjoy it more.
