You are bidding on a 1962 MGA Mark II that has been sitting for many years. The latest registration sticker is from 1988. But the previous seller said it has only sat un-running for 10 years. I purchased this car about 1 and a half years ago from a seller in Austin, Texas and had it shipped to the me with the intent of having it restored. However, plans have changed and I need the storage space for my growing business.

This excerpt is from the For Sale ad presented by the previous seller:

"I spent all morning extracting it from an old garage (Tarrytown) in Austin. It probably has spent some time outdoors from the look of things. The elderly owner said it had not run in ten years, but the registration sticker is from 1988...go figure. She cried as I drove away with her lost youth...very touching. The owner "could not find the title", but I don't suspect anything irregular, and will press for it if the paperwork does not show up in my mailbox soon.

Oh well, the car is complete and from looking at the VIN it appears to be one of the last MGAs made. Consequently, it has disc brakes and the "big" 1600 engine. I bet that I could get it running with a little effort, but with the wood floors rotted away and the rusted trunk floor (and other little places) it seems perhaps too far gone to bother with. This MG is probably too good to part out, but I will let you be the judge of that. It has five ancient wheels and tires that hold air at least long enough to get it on a trailer."

The car is not running. I've never tried to get this motor to run. As seen in the photos the floor boards are not there. The rear end is locked up, as you can see I had to drag it out of the storage shed to take photos of the car.

The convertible top is in the car. It is old and baked to a crisp. The convertible top frame is in tact and folds. Aluminum side curtains are included as pictured. The driver side plexiglass does have a cracked piece.

The wheels are chrome 48 spoke with bias ply tires.

I do not have a title. The car will be sold with a Bill of Sale only.
