All new paint in 2012, chrome 60-spoke wire wheels, 205/70 radial tires, Weber carburetion, and other favorable options! Ample horsepower, front disc brakes, and terrific road-going qualities make this an outstanding investment! Best color combination! The MGA is long hailed as one of British Motor Corporation best looking creations. With elegant curves that truly highlight this classy, English roadster, it has cemented itself in the collector car world as a must-have for driver enthusiasts! I am very proud to offer this 1961 MGA 1600 roadster refinished in desired Gloss Black exterior over gorgeous Red Leather interior. This wonderful example was completely repainted in 2012 to include a beautiful bare metal repaint on one of the straightest MGA bodies that you will be able to find! Fitted with a fully rebuilt, and original 1600cc straight 4-cylinder engine bored .030 over and equipped with Weber 32/36 carburetor, electronic ignition, exhaust header, Abarth muffler, finned aluminum valve cover, new water pump, it produces an estimated 95 eager horsepower! Additional work included new gray fender piping, all new oak floors and fresh interior carpet, new windshield seal & weather stripping, and brand new convertible top! Options include standard 4-speed transmission, upgraded front disc brakes, Smiths heater, adjustable steering column, aluminum side curtains with sliding windows, dual fender-mounted rearview mirrors, luggage rack, auxiliary hardtop, chrome 60-spoke 15 inch tires wire wheels wearing 205/70R15 radial tires, headlight rock guards, carpeted trunk, rubber MG floor mats, aluminum door panel protectors, wood shift handle, tinted sun visors, and more! Complete with a matching spare tire, jack with handle, lug wrench, and MG shop manual! Prior to me it was owned by one individual for 40 years-the President of the MG club in his area of Pennsylvania! You will no doubt agree that it has been maintained brilliantly over the years! I would like to point out that this MGA was likely built in early 1961, but is titled as a 1962 based on when it first sold new. The previous owner had the recessed Mark II grill added. For this reason, I am not advertising this example as a Mark II. The engine was zero-timed after the rebuild and has traveled just 3,123 since! It bears engine number 16GA/U/629. This car is ready for immediate enjoyment, so please act quickly and feel welcome to call (920-213-0076 John) for more details!
