See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Hold on to your tweed cap, a rare opportunity for the right person. The almost complete remains of a 1960 MGA Twin Cam. The complete original low mileage car was crushed by a barn roof in 1969. The following spring it was pulled from underneath the collapsed structure and disassembled. Every part that was unique to the Twin Cam that was salvageable was saved. These parts have been in dry storage ever since."

There were many parts that were unique to the Twin Cam, and for the most part they are all here and in very good condition. The pictures should

provide a reasonable accounting of all the systems, however, I will try to provide some description for some components that may not be evident
in the photos.

The heart of the matter, the engine, shows very little wear. Upon tear down, 40 years ago, a broken tappet was found, resulting in very minor
damage to one cam lobe. An original replacement NOS tappet is included. The late model sleeved head looks great. The valve guides and seats
look excellent. The cam bearing journals and cams look near perfect. There is NO ridge in the bores. In the photos it looks as though the block
is very rusty. This is not the case. The cylinder bores and head surface were covered in marine grease to protect them. The crank can easily be turned by hand.

The transmission engages all gears, and is full of clear 50 year old gear lube. I do not know if this is a close ratio gear box. The original lightweight
flywheel was used on another car. A standard 1600 flywheel in excellent condition is included.

The wheels and hubs all look very good there is almost no rust, all the knock offs thread easily. The axles are straight with perfect splines.
The rear end gears look excellent as well. The axle housing did have some internal damage, it is repairable, but at the time, it was assumed
that a replacement could easily be found so it was left outside for several years on its own, this is why it looks so different from the other components, it is original to the car.

The brake components are all excellent, there are even some NOS rebuild parts included, believe it or not, they are not dry rotted.
The discs all show little wear. The brake calipers and components were ready for rebuild.

The steering rack, the drive shaft, the cooling system, the heater, the wiring loom, the boot and bonnet are all here. The only reason the hood was not damaged was because it was not on the car at the time. The original boot has a dent in it.

The Carbs including the original air filters look great, there is only a tiny amount of play in one throttle shaft.

The speedo shows 36k, I have no evidence this is actual, but based on the amount of wear on the internals, it is entirely possible this is actual mileage on the car.

Everything pictured is included, and then some, the original top, and some non Twin Cam parts are included as well.

This is being sold as a complete unit, I will not sell any component separately, you must take it all, so don't bother to ask.

I have put a reasonable reserve on the auction, considering the rarity and condition of the components.

Obviously there we be no warranty, and no refunds, however, if these are parts you need for your restoration, I promise you will not be disappointed.
I will not provide shipping, you will have to pick this up in person, bring your truck and your friends, the parts are located in Greensboro, NC.

A $500.00 Paypal deposit is required, within 48 of auction close, the remainder can be paid by wire transfer or certified cashiers check, but nothing
will move until the funds clear.

Good Luck, opportunities like this don't come around very often, Let the bidding begin.
