"When it left the factory it was black with a black hood (top).  It was fitted with a black tonneau cover, white wall tyres on wire wheels, a heater, sliding side screens and an adjustable steering column.  Both engine and body numbers are within the correct range to be originals."  This was the reply I got from England when trying to trace the history of this car and further verified with a Certified Copy of a Factory Record, this certificate is included with the car.  Registered with NAMGAR (North American MGA Register) as car #6687.  The odometer read 10,458 when I acquired the car 9 years ago (I can not certify original miles because the odometer was not working when I got the car .....the speedometer/odometer was rebuilt shortly after).  I purchased this car over eBay from a bank that had repossessed it.  The first MGA was built in 1955 and was car #10101.  The last was built in 1962 and was car #109070.  This car was built 22-23 October 1958 and is car #58203, one of 6,803 1959 Roadsters, 6,149 of which were LHF (left hand drive) North American export models.  Much work has been done to this car (most professionally by The Healey Werks).  Following is a partial list of work done to this car:  replaced all brake lines, replaced all coolant hoses, replaced all brake wheel cylinders, replaced clutch slave and hose, drive shaft was rebuilt and balanced,  new u-joints, new front and rear brake shoes, replaced all fuel lines, installed new stainless steel exhaust and muffler, new spark plug wires, new spare wheel cover and trunk carpet, installed luggage rack, new side curtain set (including a new storage pouch) , new tool roll (not all tools are included), new vinyl top, combination oil/temperature gauge was rebuilt, (all gauges work),  installed AM/FM/CD player under dash (remote control), installed Mallory dual point distributor, installed new gas tank and sending unit, installed new tonneau cover, installed new regulator, rebuilt SU carbs, installed new chrome wire wheels (Dayton), installed a new electronic fuel pump, rebuilt the head (hardened seats - no need for lead additive), replaced front control bushings, new wide whitewall tires (Diamond Black) and a new batter (12-volt).  This car is ready for the road.  It shifts nice and drives nice.  It does not burn any oil.  It has the normal British drips (marking it's territory).  It is a complete, original car, including the hand crank and original jack (with a new storage pouch).  As noted it was black from the factory but I'm glad is was red (1978 Nissan) when I got it and the paint is very nice.  Receipts for most work are included.  This has been a fun car that has brought a lot of enjoyment to my wife and I but we now have a new project and not enough garage space (or money!).  I will hate to see this little car leave our garage.  Because of it we've made a lot of new friends.  The reserve is reasonable.  Please note this car is advertised outside of eBay so I reserve the right to cancel this sale should it sell before this auction ends or a price is offered that beats eBay bidding.  If you want a great MGA that needs no work to take it on the road then this is the car for you.  I will assist with shipping but arrangements and all cost is the responsibility of the buyer (if not to distant from it's current location I will be happy to drive it to the buyer!).  This is not a concourse car but is a very nice showable (it has won trophies) vehicle.  A $1500 down payment is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction.  Balance is due prior to or at the time the car is picked up and within two weeks of the end of the auction.  Payment is to be by cash, cashier's check or PayPal only.  From the time I was little I wanted a little red sports car.............
