2007 LOTUS EXIGE S - POLAR BLUE / BLACK - 15K MILES!!
4 CYLINDER 1.8 L 220 HP
What a rare and beautiful Exige S! There were not many Lotus made in Polar Blue but very few in an Exige. In 2007 there were only a bit over 100 Exige S brought unto the US in general so there are not many of these out there. In 2006 they first announced the Exige and it came out with the standard 190 HP engine that comes in the Elise. In 2007 they added the supercharger to that set up and it produced 220 HP and an a high revving engine that gets 80% torque by 2500 RPM. Unlike the standard 1.8 L engine you need begine to reach max torque or HP numbers until well after 6000 RPM when the second cam opens. With the supercharger you do not have to wait, the power is delivered immediately!!
Beyond the power difference the Exige also offers 100 Lbs of downforce at the rear end at 100 MPH, compared to the Elise at 10 Lbs at 100 MPH. This is due to the added front splitter, rear wing and standard hard top. The hard top also comes with a functional roof scoop compared to the 06 Exige version. The Exige also came standard with what the Elise considered a Sport Pack. Lighter wheels, more aggressive tires and ride height adjustable suspension. This specific Exige also came equipped with the optional Track Pac which gives fully adjustable dampers, adjustable front stabilizer bar, and harness belt bar inside vehicle. This makes this Exige ready to go for track day weekends!!
This is a car that is very enjoyable to drive on the streets but is not considered your typical everyday practical car. It is a utility knife truly designed to go out on the race track but suttle enough enjoy on the streets. It is quick and precise and reads your thoughts via telepathy before your hands even move to tell it what to do. it is a drivers car that is fully engaged to the road and gives the driver every sense of what is happening. There is no other car like it on the road! There have been a few comparisons made but everything falls short of its light weight, nible design that looks fast just standing still. If you are looking for the ultimate toy that does 0-60 in 4.0 Secs and looks like nothing else on the road and handles like a go-kart, you have found your match!!
Here Are Some Comfront Features: AC, Alloy trim on the dash, Alloy trim on center console, Alloy trim on the shift knob, Leather steering wheel, Floor mats, Alpine premium brand stereo with AM/FM in-dash single CD player
Here Are Some Options On This Great Looking Exige:
Track Package
Touring Package
Starshield
The original customer also added a carbon fiber front splitter as well as Fog Lights.
This Lotus comes with 2 keys, Remotes, Tools and Books!!

Four months ago, Lotus teased the creation of an Advanced Performance division. The legendary sports car maker divulged that the department would build "ultra-exclusive and unique vehicles" outside of the firm's regular-production lineup, developing Lotus race cars, manage Lotus motorsports programs, work on customer commissions and create customer experiences from Hethel production tours and track days to global driving academies and "money can't buy" opportunities. In further comments to Autocar and Auto Express, the head of Lotus Advanced Performance (LAP), Simon Lane, gave clues about what's coming. Lane suggested a number of creations, but the part we're most excited about is "while wider Lotus Group moves towards full-on electrification, LAP is 'reserving the right to still play with combustion engines.'" These ICE powerplants could be slated for coming restomod projects based on plans and technical drawings for Lotus products in the 1960s and 1970s that were never produced. Lane said his 15-person team is "well advanced" on work on what he calls "scratch build" vehicles that will hearken to vintage wares but be "easier to drive and maybe [have] a better power-to-weight ratio and better brakes."Â We love our electric cars here at Autoblog, but the idea of lightweight revivals recalling Lotus' best years with classic lines, small-displacement engines and maybe even manual transmissions would be glorious. These won't be continuation cars, but all-new products with production runs said to be smaller than anyone would expect. Â Â It's possible we could see something this year, 2022 being the 50th anniversary of Emerson Fittipaldi and Lotus winning the 1972 Formula 1 Driver's and Constructor's Championships in the Lotus-Ford 72D. That might explain the teaser image from February, if not the colors of the car in the teaser. Know what other momentous Lotus moment occurred in 1972? The Esprit concept debuted at the Turin Motor Show. Lane, who comes from service in Aston Martin's Q division, calls LAP "the most all-encompassing special operations department" among automakers. That means there will be work done on the electric side, too, potential services being electric drivetrain conversions of traditional Lotus cars, and creating new bodywork for the new range of battery-electric cars.

The Lotus Exige is once of the most focused race cars that you can purchase on the market today, but for those individuals who desire to track the mid-engined racer, Lotus has released its latest no-frills, all-go racecar: the Exige V6 Cup.
The Exige Cup features a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 making 346 horsepower, enabling the 2,380-pound race car to get from zero to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Power is put to the road with the help of Lotus Dynamic Performance Management, which allows for Touring, Sport and Race settings for the engine.
The Exige V6 Cup also features revised aerodynamics in the front fascia and rear diffuser, and it rides on a fully adjustable suspension that reaches the road with special wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tires.

Remember when we reported the long-lost-but-found-again Lotus Esprit submarine used in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me had sold at auction in London for $966,560 (well, $863,000 plus a 12-percent buyer's premium)? At the time, the buyer's identity remained a mystery, but Jalopnik has reported and confirmed that the man with money to burn is none other than billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of both Tesla Motors and SpaceX. What's even more shocking (maybe not for Musk) is that he wants to install a Tesla electric powertrain in it and make it transform into a road-going car.
The story of the submersible Lotus' journey from movie star to prized possession of the eccentric Musk is remarkable. After filming ended in the '70s, the car was shipped to Long Island, NY and placed in a storage container that was paid in advance by the studio for 10 years. After the money ran out, the contents of the container were sold off Storage Wars-style in 1989 and won by an area couple. It was shown in public on occasion throughout the years, but its value remained a mystery until the gavel fell in London last month. While far from the most valuable Bond car to be auctioned off (that honor goes to the Aston Martin DB5 used in Goldfinger and Thunderball, which sold for $4.6 million at auction in 2010), the Lotus submarine is definitely the most unique.
Also worth noting is that the Lotus sub is more than just a prop. Without the aid of CGI, the film's producers needed an actual submarine that looked like a Lotus Esprit, and so they hired a company called Perry Oceanographic in Florida to build it and hired former US Navy Seal Don Griffin to pilot the sub during the film.
