Up for sale is an AMAZING and RARE Solar Yellow 2007 Lotus Exige S with ~22,500 miles.

The car is in great condition and has always been babied. The Solar Yellow is one of the most sought after and rarest colors (along with Krypton Green!) and this baby will not last at this price. The color is essentially the equivalent of Lamborghini's $12,000 triple layer pearl yellow!

This car came with the Touring Package (power windows, leather seats, etc.), traction control (crucial!), starshield (aka clearbra-- just as crucial!), and a few other cool bits.

The car also has an upgraded exhaust custom made by 2bular, considered the experts in Lotus Exhaust systems. We wanted to make sure the car looked exotic... but also looked OEM. This was the best design. Twin tips coming out over the upgraded 5 element diffuser! This is the euro-style exhaust and turns heads everywhere it goes.

It has a great, exotic bark to it when you are driving aggressively (people turn and take pictures!)... but it isn't obnoxious or overly loud. You can easily have a conversation on your cell phone!

Check out the pictures and imagine this bad boy in your garage or driving it to grab a bite to eat and having them park it right in front. It's phenomenal!

By far, the most reliable and fun exotic out there... Oh, and it's FASTER than most other exotics out there too! 3.8 seconds to 60 is pretty hard to beat!

Get the attention you deserve everywhere you go! And don't worry about crazy maintenance costs!

NOTE: Had a small crack in the back above the license plate (~1 inch) that was fixed by the #1 lotus body shop in the country! That is the "minor incident" on the carfax... Literally a crack about 1 inch long. Not even kidding!

Coca-Cola returning to F1 with Lotus sponsorship [w/videos]

Sat, 24 Nov 2012

Even before Red Bull Racing became a record-breaking three-time Constructor's Champion in Formula One, it has dominated conversations both as a team and as an energy drink. After seven years of "Red Bull this" and "Red Bull that," Coca-Cola is reportedly ready to jump into the F1 fray with its Sweden-based energy drink Burn.
Rumors had placed Coca-Cola's entry with McLaren F1, but it's actually Lotus that has secured the deal. We have no idea what the sponsorship will look like, but the website for Burn says that "We [intend] to foster that creativity by incorporating art and music in a way that will break the conventions of traditional F1 sponsorship," Lotus F1 team principal Eric Boullier adding "We are excited to partner with burn to build a new and innovative model for sponsorships that will combine experiences, content creation and social media..."
Since most - including this writer - have no idea what Burn is, we've included a couple of Burn commercial spots to help get us up to speed, which you'll find below. The 2012 season hasn't even ended, and we're already looking forward to 2013...

Why Lotus thinks its luxury EV game plan will succeed globally

Sun, Feb 25 2024

Luxury sports car and EV maker Lotus completed its SPAC merger last week in the U.S. and its stock was publicly traded for the first time on Friday. It’s an interesting turn of events for the Geely-backed automaker now known as Lotus Tech given the uncertain EV market, but one that may prove an exception to the struggles of other pure-play EV makers. Trading under the ticker LOT on the Nasdaq, Lotus Tech will focus on the higher end of the EV market with its Eletre SUV and Emeya sedan, which will not only be offered in the US but also in Europe and, more importantly, China. “What is most important here is that we are definitely going to more markets at the same time through more models and through more stores,” said Lotus Tech CFO Alexious Lee to Yahoo Finance from the Nasdaq market site. By the end of the year Lotus will have four vehicles in production, three of them EVs. “These four models are currently available in Asia Pacific and part of it is also available in UK and EU,” Lee said. “We're having the new [Eletre] SUV model coming into the U.S. in the third quarter of this year, so different markets have different strategies and different product offerings and different conditions." Lotus is able to go to market in a number of territories due to the backing of its majority owner, Chinese auto giant Geely. But it also raised a considerable amount of money through its SPAC merger. Lotus Tech said it raised more than $880 million in pre-closing and PIPE financing commitments, with a targeted valuation on listing day of nearly $7 billion. Lotus Tech also had an interesting partner with its SPAC merging, combining with L Catterton Asia Acquisition Corp (LCAA), which is backed by French luxury conglomerate LVMH. Lotus Eletre in Solar Yellow View 11 Photos As Lotus targets the luxury segment with its vehicles — the Eletre and Emeya will be playing in the $80,000 to $150,000 ballpark — having a partner like LVMH, with its deep connections and insights into the luxury consumer, could be hugely beneficial. “Now what is more important here is Anish Melwani, who is the CEO for LVMH North America, will be on the board of Lotus Tech,” Lee said.

Question of the Day: What's the greatest British car ever?

Fri, Jul 15 2016

The British automotive industry has produced everything from high-production econo-commuters to staggeringly luxurious oligarch-wagons, along the way winning plenty of races and building plenty of beautiful machines. The original Mini led directly to the past half-century of transverse-engine, front-wheel-drive cars built everywhere, the MGB put the sporty little convertible into everyone's reach, and the Morris Oxford became the most beloved motor vehicle in India. So many to choose from, but we want you to pick one. What will it be? Related Video:
