Selling my 2010 Lotus Evora That I purchased 2 years ago from Lotus Dealership. I'm the second owner of the car and the car already had close to 7K miles when I got it. This car is a bit special as it was featured it TOP gear USA when Evora was introduced to US market back in 2010. The car is considered the launch Edition which was basically loaded with all options including Tech, Sport , Backup camera and few other options.
Since purchase of the car It always missed that extra power that I wanted in my sports car and I ended up supercharging the car using the factory kit. The kit was purchased from Lotus Racing and it was fitted by VSA motor sports in Los angeles. The car was finally tuned by BOE Fabrication and There is a tuning cable that car put the car back to factory power or run the after market tune which puts the car at 400HP. Many modifications was made to make sure the car runs clean and cool for better performance. I also upgraded most of interior parts to the 2013 spec parts for better looks. Front and rear brake Rotors and Pads were just recently changed and it only has 100 Miles on it. The front rotors are Racing floating rotors that are perfect for tracking and they are about 2LB lighter than the stock ones. Clutch was changed when the car was supercharged and it only has about 8K miles on it. I'm selling the car as My McLaren MP12C will be delivered on the 25th. I'm also selling my lotus Elise so please make sure to check out that auction as well if you are interested. This car is probably one of the few Evora's that has the look and power to match its looks.

Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales abruptly quits

Mon, Jun 4 2018

Jean-Marc Gales is out as CEO at sports car maker Lotus after nearly four years and a track record of turning the company from years of financial losses to a small profit. He'll be replaced by Feng Qingfeng, vice president and chief technical officer of China's Geely Auto Group, who joined the company's board after Geely acquired a majority ownership stake a year ago. Gales will continue as chief strategic advisor to Lotus Chairman Daniel Donghui Li. "Jean-Marc has stabilized and turned Lotus to profitability for the first time in the iconic brand's history, with new industry-leading products and unique business models since joining the company in 2014," Daniel, who is also Lotus' chief financial officer, said in a statement. "Lotus is poised for the next phase of growth under Feng Qingfeng's leadership, where its expertise in lightweight materials and sports car engineering will form part of the wider expansion of Geely's automotive portfolio." Gales told Autocar he was leaving for "personal reasons" and said it was "time to move on." He will head up JD Classics, a British dealer and restorer of classic cars. Gales praised his successor, saying Feng could "unlock the synergies" between Geely stablemates Lotus, Volvo, Polestar and Chinese brand Lynk & Co. Lotus under Gales had been working on updating its aging portfolio of cars — the Elise, the Exige and the Evora — with plans to first update the Elise by 2020. Earlier this year came word that Gales had green-lighted two new sports cars, to be announced later this year and produced in 2020, and an SUV about the size of the Porsche Macan and possibly based on Volvo's SPA platform, which underpins the XC60 and XC90. Lotus under Gales saw sales increase 10 percent in 2017 to about 1,600 sports cars. Related Video:

Join XCAR as it explores the history behind the Lotus Seven

Fri, Feb 28 2014

All modern Caterhams are based on the Lotus Seven – a small, lightweight roadster developed by Colin Chapman back in 1957. That car has evolved into an entire range of models, spanning from the new, affordable 160, shown below in the latest video from XCAR, to the maniacal 620R. Over the years, the Seven has come to be a known quantity among auto enthusiasts. What isn't as well known is the origin of the Seven and the cars that came before it. As XCAR points out, "What happened to [the Seven's] earlier ancestors? What happened to the Lotus numbered one through six?" The answer probably isn't what you'd expect. Scroll down for a great look at unique motorsport that inspired Colin Chapman's earliest efforts in the latest video from XCAR. This content is hosted by a third party. The black and gold Lotus Evora Sport 410 GP Edition is heading to America

Thu, Apr 6 2017

Few race teams have such deeply iconic liveries as Team Lotus. From the Gold Leaf cars from the late 1960s to the bright yellow Camel cars that lasted until the early 1990s, arguably none is more iconic than the John Player Special cars that brought world championships to Emerson Fittipaldi and Mario Andretti. Now that same sleek black and gold paint scheme can be had on the new Lotus Evora Sport 410 GP Edition. Even better, it's heading to America. While the GP Edition isn't anything more than a special paint scheme, what a wonderful design it is. The livery is based on the John Player Special Team Lotus cars that competed in Formula One between 1972 and 1986. The black paint is accented with gold stripes along the hood, fenders, doors, and rocker panel. Gold Evora Sport 410 logos adorn the rear while a "Word Champions" emblem flanks the engine cover. The Evora Sport 410 is the lighter, faster version of the thoroughly reworked Evora 400 that we drove last year. Lotus says it's the fastest road car the automaker has ever built. It hits 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and tops out at 190 mph. They US version has been specially curated by Lotus engineers in order to be both light and meet federal crash test standards. Unfortunately, Lotus is only building 150 total each year for worldwide markets. Related Video:
