Description:
You are looking at a 2000 Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo. These cars are unbelievably fast and handle amazing. Lotus really got these cars right when they came out with this model. If you are looking for an exotic car that will outperform a Ferrari and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the car for you. This is a local car we have known and serviced for several years. The timing belt was replaced by us about four years ago, and the clutch was just replaced. This car does show a little wear and has a few small marks here and there on the paint. It is all original paint and still looks great. The upholstery is clean, but again does show some wear which you can see in the photos. This car runs and drives excellent and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. This is a lot of car for the money. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you have.

WE OFFER IN HOUSE FINANCING AT VERY COMPETITIVE RATES, SO PLEASE LET US KNOW IF WE CAN HELP YOU IN ANY WAY.

Kimi Raikkonen to miss rest of season for back surgery

Sun, 10 Nov 2013

Formula One drivers keep themselves in peak physical condition, such are the demands placed on them in order to do what they do. But otherworldly as their capabilities may be, they're still human, and that means they get injured or sick just like the rest of us.
Case in point: Kimi Raikkonen and the announcement made today by Lotus that he'll have to sit out the rest of the season in order to undergo back surgery. That means Lotus will have to find a replacement driver for the last two races in Austin and Brazil while Kimi has and recovers from the operation.
Though we wouldn't debate the legitimacy of Kimi's condition or the necessity to rectify it, the timing is sure to raise some eyebrows. Raikkonen has been at the center of a pay dispute with Lotus, and while the situation was reportedly resolved, his decision to undergo what is said to be elective surgery at this point in the season (as opposed to waiting until its end) raises some questions as to his commitment to the team he is leaving and his team's financial commitments to him in turn.

Race Recap: 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix follows the template of this year and last [spoilers]

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

The sand, the wind, the penalties, the contact and the one crash - all of them collided to make the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix a surprise affair from day to day and lap to lap. Oh, and did we mention the tires? Pirelli made a last-minute swap after the amusement park ride that the Chinese Grand Prix turned into with the soft compound tire, and brought medium and hard compounds to the desert. That didn't stop things from falling apart for some teams - literally - and that didn't stop the one team that seems to love the hard compound Pirelli tire.

Lotus Exige V6 Cup takes extreme to the extreme

Mon, 14 Jul 2014

What separates a road car from a race car? You're looking at it. It's the Lotus Exige V6 Cup, a model based on what is already one of the most hardcore performance machines on the road, albeit upgraded to an even harder-core spec. It's a good 130 pounds lighter than the Exige S (a vehicle which didn't have much flab to trim in the first place) and can hit 60 in under four seconds. With the notably exception of certain versions of the Porsche 911, there aren't a lot of six-cylinder cars that can claim that kind of performance.
In fact, the Exige V6 Cup is so close to race spec that it's already eligible for a number of racing series. Just bolt in the removable FIA-certified roll cage, maybe swap on some slick tires and you're good to go. Then you can drive it home again when you're done, just like in sports car racing's heyday. But don't take our word for it: the team over at XCar took the V6 Cup to the UK's Goodwood circuit to see how it compared to the Exige S it recently drove, and you can view the stirring results in the video below.
