2005 Lotus Elise Sport And Touring Package *leather, Power Windows, Track Ready* on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
This has been a great car to me. Minor maintinence, sounds great, always attracts attention, and makes me smile everytime I drive it. I really just don't fit in it very well (I am 6'6"), and don't get to drive it that often. I would love to keep it, but its just not the right car for me. The car runs and drives great! What you see in most of the pictures is its current condition. The picture with front end damage is how I received the car. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The car has not changed at all from when these pictures were taken. I did include the pictures of when I originally purchased the car to give you idea of what the damage looked liked. Like new Toyo Proxes R888s. Instead of the original tire size, I went with wider 255/40/R17 tires in the rear for more grip and an overall more stable rear end, and the original 195/50/R16 on the front. Great Tires! Sector 111 Upgraded Radiator. The car runs and maintains about 185 degrees during the summer or winter. Sector 111 Tall Rails. I am 6' 6" so I also installed this seat lowering kit that lowers the drivers seat about an inch, and I will include the original seat rails. When I purchased the car, It came with a beautiful set of LED Tail Lights. The center console, around the shifter, is normally a grey plastic cover but now has a black leather cover that matches the rest of the interior. The muffler is currently off the car and a redirect pipe points the exhaust down out the original exhaust hole. This reduces weight, and in my opinion it sound great (my other lotus friends did the same thing after hearing mine) but I can include the factory muffler with the car when purchased. Other than that, the car is completely stock Call, text or email me with questions 402-301-8888, Garrettmitchell121@gmail.com |

Lotus F1 Team reveals new E23 Hybrid
Mon, Jan 26 2015Lotus is keen to leave a lackluster 2014 Formula One World Championship campaign behind it and race forward towards a new era, and this is the car with which it hopes to do so. The new E23 Hybrid is the twenty-third chassis to come from the Enstone-based team. As with the new Williams that was the first new chassis revealed for this year, the principal difference you can see is the more conventional nose to replace the twin-tusk setup of the E22, but there's more to it than that. For starters, it's the first new Lotus to pack Mercedes power after the team parted ways with Renault – the manufacturer that used to own the team and which has powered every car the team has built since Benetton signed with the French automaker way back in 1995. It also packs a completely new suspension setup after the original FRIC design in the preceding E22 was banned mid-season, forcing Enstone engineers to go back to the drawing board halfway through the championship. Word has it that, after earlier rumors suggested the team might not even make it back onto the grid, new sponsors will be added before the season gets under way in Melbourne on March 15 with the Australian Grand Prix. To pilot the new car, Lotus has retained the same two drivers as last year in Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado. The team is hoping to perform better this season than it did the last, when it finished the constructors' championship way down in eighth place – the same result it achieved in 2009 under Renault ownership and the worst it had performed since the Toleman days in 1983.
Lotus Exige V6 Cup takes extreme to the extreme
Mon, 14 Jul 2014What separates a road car from a race car? You're looking at it. It's the Lotus Exige V6 Cup, a model based on what is already one of the most hardcore performance machines on the road, albeit upgraded to an even harder-core spec. It's a good 130 pounds lighter than the Exige S (a vehicle which didn't have much flab to trim in the first place) and can hit 60 in under four seconds. With the notably exception of certain versions of the Porsche 911, there aren't a lot of six-cylinder cars that can claim that kind of performance.
In fact, the Exige V6 Cup is so close to race spec that it's already eligible for a number of racing series. Just bolt in the removable FIA-certified roll cage, maybe swap on some slick tires and you're good to go. Then you can drive it home again when you're done, just like in sports car racing's heyday. But don't take our word for it: the team over at XCar took the V6 Cup to the UK's Goodwood circuit to see how it compared to the Exige S it recently drove, and you can view the stirring results in the video below.
Lotus plans detuned Evora sans supercharger for US market
Wed, Mar 23 2016We may never see a new version of the Elise or Exige in the United States, but the legendary British marque has been steadily rolling out new versions of the Evora 2+2 sports car. According to Automotive News, the automaker based in Hethel is planning a detuned version of the Evora to help it get in line with US emissions regulations. "Over a five-year period in the U.S. we have to show a 3 percent per year reduction in carbon dioxide emissions," Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales told AN. "One option is remove the supercharger." Gales apparently feels that's a better option than downsizing to a 2.0-liter turbo four, which would require more reconfiguration than simply removing the supercharger. The former Peugeot chief cites the example of another British sports car manufacturer in McLaren, which detuned the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 from the 650S to slot into the 570S. In any event, the base Evora wouldn't be the only new version of the model we're expecting to see. The company recently rolled out the revised Evora 400, and revealed the even sharper Evora Sport 410 (pictured above) at the Geneva Motor Show last month. Lotus also has an Evora roadster in the works that's similarly targeted at the North American market. Following the base model, we wouldn't be surprised to see even more variants to follow.
