2005 Lotus Elise, Ardent Red with Tan leather interior. It currently has just under 51,200 but I may still put a few miles on. When new it was advertised with a 0-60 of 4.6 seconds with the sport package. Clear title. The car does have some nicks and scratches from daily driving duties. We had his and hers Elises and after daily driving the first once since 07 and then this one, its time to move on. The wheels are painted gold. They weren't done flawlessy but they look decent. I wasn't sure about the color, nor was I sure about powder coating forged aluminum so I tried the color in paint. The color looks sharp in person and makes the car unique to other Elises. If you don't like it, its easy to strip. There is a small fiberglass crack inside the 'mouth' area just below one of the driving lights. The rockers should also be painted because of chips, just before the rear tires. There is also a scratch behind the passenger side window that has been touched up. The car has only been serviced with synthetic oil while in my possesion and it has been done within the last thousand miles. I just had a set of brand new tires put on this past Thursday and a new head unit installed last week with a USB port and jack as well as Pandora control for your phone. The car has a soft top only and it is the thicker padded version. I personally would drive this car any distance with only a concern about comfort. That being said, it does not come with any warranty- Sold as-is. It has never let us down and continues to provide a smile even on the worst of days. The car is currently financed through USAA and has a PA title- it would take a week or two to recieve the title from the state. The car is currently in Pensacola Florida and garage kept. Not 100% sure why I am selling it to be honest other than to maybe try a car that doesn't get quite so much attention. After experiencing a majority of the sports and exotics out there, there isn't one as raw as this for the street and with a body.

Evora GT430 revealed, Lotus' most powerful road car ever
Thu, Jul 20 2017A new Lotus grows in the English garden of lightness and speed. Lotus bills the Evora GT430 as the company's fastest, "most powerful and accomplished road car to date." And the stats seem to back that up. Lotus says the GT430's 0-to-60 time is a brilliant 3.7 seconds, the logical result of putting a 3.5-liter V6 supercharged and charge-cooled engine producing 430 horsepower into a car with a curb weight of 2,858 pounds (2,768 pounds exsanguinated). Lotus, in continual pursuit of its fetish for lightness, used carbon fiber (some of it exposed) and lightweight chassis innovations to knock 81 pounds off the curb weight of the already-quite-light Evora 410. Other comparison points: The 410 makes 410 horsepower, hence the name, with a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds. The GT430 also gains torque over the 410, generating 325 pound-feet, though higher in the rev range at 4,500 rpm, to the 410's output of 310 at 3,500. The GT430 comes only with a six-speed manual (you can get an automatic in the 410 if so inclined), and its top speed is 190 miles per hour. Tack on aero, notably the large carbon wing, that generates up to 550 pounds of downforce (that's at top speed, but there's plenty far slower), and Lotus says the result is "tremendous real-world speed and handling unheard of in its class." It's the first new product announcement since news broke of Lotus' sale to China's Geely. Only 60 Evora GT430s will be built, at a base price of 112,500 pounds (VAT included) that will escalate quickly with options. That's around $125 grand, assuming you could get one here. Lotus Elise, Exige recalled over oil line fire risk
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Lotus is recalling 451 examples of the Elise and Exige from the 2007 and 2008 model years. The cars in question, built from December 1, 2006 to October 31, 2007 could be affected by an oil cooler line that detaches from its fitting. If the line comes loose it could release oil onto the engine and possibly start a fire, or onto a tire and potentially cause a crash.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates the recall is expected to begin on March 4. Notified owners can take their cars to their dealers for repairs to the lateral oil cooler hose and hose fittings. You'll find the full release from the NHTSA below with more information.
Lotus Exige Sport 410 is just over 2,400 pounds of forbidden fruit
Sat, May 5 2018Few automakers short of Jeep love cranking out new variants of a current model like Lotus. Today, the storied British sports car manufacturer revealed the new Exige Sport 410, essentially a more comfortable and road-friendly version of the track-focused Exige Cup 430. This is a mid-engine coupe with 410 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque and a dry weight that's slightly more than an ND Mazda MX-5 Miata. Too bad it's not-for-U.S. consumption. Thanks to U.S. safety regulations, the Lotus Elise and Exige aren't available in America. Europeans will enjoy the Sport 410's supercharged 3.5-liter V6 and 0-60 mph sprint of just 3.3 seconds. The car's top speed is 180 mph. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Thanks to some sophisticated aero, the car can generate more than 330 pounds of downforce. Under the skin, the Sport 410 uses three-way adjustable Nitron dampers and adjustable Eibach front and rear anti-roll bars. Traction comes in the form of 285/30 ZR18 section rear and 215/45 ZR17 section front Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, some of the stickiest rubber available for road use. Forged-alloy wheels are available in either black or silver. The car uses four-piston AP Racing brakes with two-piece rotors. Options include titanium exhaust, carbon-fiber instrument surround, sill covers, barge boards and roof, electrical cutoff and fire extinguisher controls, airbag deletion, a non-airbag steering wheel, four-point harnesses, a full-leather interior, and a dealer-fitted FIA-compliant roll cage. Of course, with enough cash, Lotus will tailor the car to-taste through its Lotus Exclusive program. Related Video:
