Immaculate 1993 Lincoln Town Car Absolutely Like New And Needs Nothing! on 2040-cars
Pontiac, Michigan, United States
I just took these photos literally minutes ago--dunno why it says Jan. 2013 (??!!?)....For sale!....a STRIKING powder blue Lincoln Town Car....completely original and NO RUST ANYWHERE!! It's incredibly razor straight with a flawless HIGH LUSTER exterior finish and an equally flawless interior as well. Originally a Florida car (so I was told when I bought it) so this is the only winter it's ever seen and being a retired gentleman, I never took it out on nasty days so the undercarriage is very clean too. This particular generation Town Car has a longevity and dependability that is legendary, and they are so comfortable, super quiet and have an astonishing SMOOTH and stable ride....starts right up (remote start!) and runs and shifts smoothly.....everything works as it should (except the cassette player) and you can drive it anywhere with no worries!--cold air with amazing automatic climate control, auto high beam control, auto headlamp control--all the usual goodies. I've never had to fix ANYTHING on the car and it still NEEDS NOTHING.....all I ever did was buy BRAND NEW (expensive) OEM famous Lincoln Turbine Wheels with slightly bigger tires and had winter tires mounted on to the original honeycomb wheels (which all go with the car).....I've done the usual things of course like pressure clean the fuel system, pressure clean the cooling system, change the rear axle fluid--plus oil changes every 3000 miles WITHOUT FAIL!!....and this car has never been through a car wash--ALWAYS hand-washed. I'm an incurable car nut so I always have my eye on something different--I've only had this one a year or so. I'm always looking and that's the only reason I'm selling it. There should be NO DISAPPOINTMENTS with this car--this is no exaggeration, IT'S TOTALLY LIKE A NEW CAR, for real! (look at the photos!--and I have tons more to share if you like)......it's magnificent to look at and to drive and it has a truly imposing presence due to it's size and commands a lot of attention!....if nobody wants it I'll just keep it. I'm asking $7000 obo and welcome any offers......make me an offer--who knows?!!.....cash only

Lincoln MKC crossover headed for Detroit
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Fresh off the launch of the stylish new MKZ sedan, the newly named Lincoln Motor Company is reportedly preparing for a lineup expansion. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, the first new product joining the Lincoln brand is a small crossover based on the Ford Escape said to be called the MKC. We saw this machine testing a few months ago, and while we were hoping the name might be reserved for a future two-door model or even the diminutive Concept C hatchback, it looks like the "C" will stand for compact crossover instead.
The report also says that this crossover will be making its debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, so we'll have to wait until then to see what the new model looks like. Unlike the MKX, which is based off the Ford Edge, we would expect there to be a lot more differentiation between the MKC and the Escape like Ford managed to do with the newest Fusion and MKZ.
In addition to the new MKC, the article states new MKS and Navigator designs are expected to debut by 2014.
Lincoln to adopt Mini-like personalization strategy?
Fri, 18 Jan 2013There's no single silver bullet that will cure all that ails the Lincoln brand, and Ford knows that just as surely as we do. Coming out with exciting new models like the well-received MKC crossover counts as several steps in the right direction, assuming of course that the production version is as appealing as the concept just shown at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, but more is needed. According to Jim Farley, executive vice president of Lincoln, one more trick may be "mass customization."
Put another way, Lincoln is considering ways to allow buyers to customize their new vehicles right off the showroom floor, similar to how things are done at Mini, and, to a lesser extent, Scion, where Farley previously served as corporate manager. Imagine, for instance, ordering a new MKC with a large Lincoln insignia embossed into the leather seatbacks, according to Automotive News.
While we're not so sure anybody is all that interested in paying extra for more Lincoln logos, it's a strategy that has proven rather fruitful at Mini. Only time will tell if Ford's erstwhile luxury division will once again be seen as something truly worth reaching for, and if customers are willing to pay a further premium for customization.
Weekly Recap: Lincoln Continental serves up the style, Cadillac CT6 delivers the substance in New York
Sat, Apr 4 2015Lincoln and Cadillac grabbed the spotlight this week at the New York Auto Show in a dramatic fashion that evoked the brands' glory days. America's two luxury carmakers went toe-to-toe with their glittering reveals and plans for ambitious expansion. Both were selling their technology, style and the promise of a better future. Cadillac vs. Lincoln. At the Javits Center, 2015 seemed a lot like 1956. Neither company was interested in drawing comparisons with the other, which is fair, and accurate. They're in vastly different places in terms of sales and the pace of their turnarounds, but they hope to reach the same eventual destination at the pinnacle of the luxury-car world. Lincoln used the element of surprise to great effect with the Continental concept. A production version is still at least a year away, and the company was vague on details. Officially, we don't even know if it is front- or rear-wheel drive, though speculation abounds. Who cares? The seats can be adjusted 30 ways! The Continental also showed off a bold chrome grille that will be the new face of Lincoln. The blue bomber also rolled on blinged-out 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, used a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine and had huge LED head lights with "laser-assisted" high beams. All of this resulted in almost blinding attention. The concept drew rave reviews, stirred controversy with Bentley designers who argued Lincoln ripped them off, and most importantly, pointed a way forward for the newly determined brand that hopes to compete with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus. View 32 Photos Meanwhile, Cadillac showed the CT6, a finished product that will top its range and is loaded with the best and latest technologies General Motors has at its disposal. With production starting late this year, Cadillac had more specifics at the ready. Engines? Cadillac has a couple V6s and a turbo four for sure. It's working on a hybrid, and has considered a V-Series variant. It's based on a new rear-wheel-drive, aluminum-intensive chassis called Omega, features an advanced collision-mitigation system with automatic braking and has a cabin that's laden with "leathers, exotic woods and carbon fiber." It will be assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck factory and goes on sale next year. At this point, Cadillac is more than willing to talk about every except for the price. The devil was not in the details for Cadillac, as evidenced by the CT6. But it wasn't for Lincoln either.
