2002 Lincoln Blackwood with only 67,000 miles. This is a non-smoking, non-pet hauling, two owner truck that has been very well maintained and is ready for its next owner. This truck stands out in a crowd and gets a lot of attention. There were only a total of 3500 of these trucks made for both the United States and Mexico, so you won’t see another one like it for miles around! Fully loaded (except for the GPS option), this truck has dual heated/cooled seats in the front, and individual buckets in the back with a large console in between. All leather is in very good condition with no tears or burn marks. All power features work: seats, windows, sunroof, dual stereo controls, climate control, and so forth. One of the main features of this truck is the power lid which covers the trunk/bed along with the neon lighting inside the bed which illuminates when it is open. A great feature of this truck is the "barn door" style door to the bed. It is so easy to open and to load items into- no tail gate to have to reach over! The truck has the following additional items: Gibson stainless steel cat-back exhaust (similar to factory, not loud and obnoxious), remote start – great for those hot or cold days, and an I-pod interface so that you can hook up and play your I-pod through the factory stereo. All items were professionally installed. This truck has been very well maintained and literally needs nothing except a new owner. I have receipts for all maintenance that I have done personally or been performed by a professional shop. Items serviced in the past year are BF Goodrich tires, front & rear; rear brakes, all 4 shocks, new battery in the past month. Fluid maintenance is also up to date and Valvoline Synthetic oil has been changed every 4K miles. The carpets are in great condition- both inside the cab and in the bed- as they have always been protected. Weather Tech rubber mats are included along with the original carpet floor mats. Also included are TWO Lincoln factory key fobs and TWO remote starter key fobs and the owner’s manual. The body is in very good condition with no rust or dents.

Conan O'Brien takes McConaughey's Lincoln ad to its logical conclusion

Thu, 11 Sep 2014

We all had to see this coming. Conan O'Brien has released a parody of Matthew McConaughey's new ads for the 2015 Lincoln MKC and remixed them with lines from one of his most critically acclaimed recent roles.
The now much darker commercial probably isn't how Lincoln would prefer the MKC to be marketed, but really in a few of the actual ads, McConaughey already seems moments away from breaking into a full Rustin Cohle from True Detective impression. The cadence and tone of his voice are just so close to that character, especially in the one where he's talking to the bull standing in the middle of the road. It very nearly verges on parody anyway; Conan is just turning all of this up to 11.
It's a little surprising that the writers didn't dig a little deeper into the McConaughey oeuvre for the parody. Maybe McConaughey could have taken the MKC for a party at the Moon Tower from Dazed and Confused. In any case, it's worth a quick watch, so check it out.

Lincoln considering giving cars real names again

Wed, Apr 22 2015

Enthusiastic reaction to the Continental concept might be the death knell for Lincoln's alphabet soup of monikers. "Without divulging the future, we're very excited about the Continental name and the attention it's gotten," Ford President of the Americas Joe Hinrichs said to Automotive News. Hinrichs admitted that the current MK names could confuse those not familiar with the models. Hinrichs suggested that one way Lincoln might differentiate itself was to "leverage its heritage." While this is certainly nothing explicit, the talk could be an indication of an upcoming overhaul for the brand's naming scheme. The Continental is set to hit the market next year as a replacement for the MKS as the company makes a major push into China. Lincoln bosses reportedly gave the designers the model name as inspiration for what to create. The brand's health has slowly been improving since former Ford CEO Alan Mulally was ready to completely kill the brand. Last year, a new boss was appointed to the helm, and there were reports of a modular platform under development. Let us know in Comments what Lincoln names you want to see revived. The Town Car is likely the best-known model from the brand after the Continental, and Zephyr has fairly recent history as the brief moniker for the MKZ. Related Video:

Matthew McConaughey dusts off his Lincoln Lawyer jacket [w/videos]

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Alright, alright, alright. Easygoing Texan Matthew McConaughey has enjoyed a career renaissance recently with critically acclaimed roles in Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective, and the actor has just signed a multi-year deal with Lincoln to become the luxury brand's spokesperson. The first ads starring McConaughey should hit televisions and the internet soon.
McConaughey's campaign has his pitching starting out with the company's pivotal new 2015 Lincoln MKC compact crossover. "Lincoln is an iconic, American brand and I like where they are heading with their transformation," he said in the announcement of the deal. The appears to be really throwing some money into these ads, too. Not only has it hired A-list talent in front of the camera, Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for Drive, is directing the spots.
Of course, this won't be McConaughey's first noteworthy ride in a Lincoln. Back in 2011, he starred in The Lincoln Lawyer, a legal thriller about at attorney would did business out of a 1980s Town Car. The MKC should certainly prove to be a much better driver than that.
