I am selling my 1995 Licoln Town Car stretch limo. It takes 6 Passengers in the rear, the seats are facing one another. It has a Bar Area and several ice boxes. The Passenger area is in good condition, the seats and carpet are in good condition. The Rear most seat is worn more then the front which is normal for a car of this age but has no tears or rips. The Drivers area is a little long in the tooth but still functional. Last season I replaced the A/C Compressor and receiver/Dryer plus the Passenger side exhaust Manifold. I also replaced the passenger stereo with an AM/FM CD with Aux plug and USB Jack. There was just bodywork done on the 2 stretched areas of the car and they were repainted. They should be good for about another 2 years, this is very coommon to all stretched limo's. There are 2 "hangs" in the nw paint that need to be sanded out and buffed in a few weeks when the paint is fully cured. The car runs well and is usable just as it is. A cheap startup car that will pay for itself in a few jobs or a "Backup" or second car for an existing business. If you have any questions feel free to ask me or I invite you to set up an appointment to see it in person. I value my feedback and don't want anyone to be disappointed. Please keep in mind this car is pushing 20 Years old and has been well used. I have the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. The car is for local pick up only, if you arrange for shipping, your shipper picks it up fom me. I cannot deliver it anywhere, its just too long! The car is not on the road so I cannot drive it anywhere. Thanks for looking and good luck!

Lincoln 'not true luxury' yet, says Ford design chief
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Lincoln is "not true luxury," according to Ford's design boss, J Mays. His statements come from a story in The Detroit News that saw candid language on the issues facing Ford's troubled premium brand. Notably, there's a need for a strong character, with Mays saying, "Every brand needs to have a DNA and a unique selling point and things in the vehicle that make you think, 'That's that particular brand.'"
With a range of rebadged Fords, it's not hard to see why that DNA is missing. Mays hinted that a full recovery for Lincoln will be a ten-year process, that's been kicked off with the MKZ sedan. While that car is still largely a Ford Fusion under its extremely pretty wrapper, it's the first Lincoln in some time to inject its own unique take both through the exterior styling and through interior features, such as the vertical, pushbutton gear selection.
Some analysts weren't so certain about Mays' 10-year estimate. Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics thinks it'll be more like 30 years before Lincoln can show a true return to form. The issue, as Hall explains it, is that, "luxury has a degree of exclusivity," that Lincoln just doesn't have. Michelle Krebs from Edmunds adds, "it's definitely a wanna-be luxury brand," comparing the troubled American brand with Infiniti and Acura, two other brands that have struggled to find their place in the luxury market.
Lincoln bringing in MKZ Hybrid over rollaway risk
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Federal safety standards require that every new car needs to have the brake depressed in order to shift it out of Park. But the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has found fault in the transmission range sensor on certain examples of the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, allowing the car to be shifted out of Park without first depressing the brake. The fear is that with this condition, affected vehicles may be unintentionally pulled out of Park, resulting in a possible rollaway. That safety concern has prompted parent Ford Motor Company to issue a recall.
The issue pertains to 7,153 examples of the MKZ Hybrid built between April 26, 2012 and September 24, 2013, covering the 2013 and 2014 model years. As a result, Ford will notify owners to bring their MKZs into their local Lincoln dealer to have the Powertrain Control Module software updated in order to rectify the problem. See the full recall notice below for details.
Ford recalls 83k Taurus and crossover models for halfshaft issue
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 83,250 vehicles in the US, for an issue with halfshafts. More specifically a "halfshaft retention circlip" might not have been properly installed on affected vehicles, with the result being halfshafts that may move improperly or disengage completely from the linkshaft while driving. The NHTSA release also notes that the issue may occur "without prior warning" which obviously factors in to the timeliness of getting this checked.
Should the halfshaft disengage, a few troubling things could happen. If it occurs while driving, power from the engine will no longer be transmitted to the wheels. And, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied after disengagement of the circlip, vehicles may roll away even if they're transmissions have been placed in "Park."
Affected vehicles are as follows: Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from model years 2012 to 2014; Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS sedans from model years 2013 to 2014; Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2013 to 2014.
