Beautiful 2000 Lincoln Navigator With Remanufactured 5.4 Dohc Engine 01 02 03 on 2040-cars

Garage kept, the original charcoal green metallic paint still looks amazing - and this Navigator body is straight and clean. A REMANUFACTURED 5.4 DOHC (stock replacement engine) was installed nearly 5 years ago while the previous owners father was traveling in Nevada. I purchased this vehicle because it runs so well, and even though the transmission will not shift into reverse, I was thinking about using this outstanding 5.4 DOHC in restomod project.
But because this Navigator is so nice (inside and out), I've decided use a Mustang GT engine on my project instead. So - this Navigator is loaded with power options! The inside is clean and smells nice. Tinted glass and windshield are excellent, power windows, power locks, nice leather seats (electrically adjust to just about any comfortable position), COLD Air Conditioning, Over-drive, All Wheel Drive, running boards, rubber floor mats, and cloth seat covers over the leather seats (see pics), but for their age - seats are actually pretty nice (and clean) with only a few minor tears. Tires have about 60 - 70% tread remaining and this Lincoln is a pleasure to drive (just doesn't back up). Title is clear and vehicle is currently registered through February 2015. Ford hybrids getting update to improve fuel economy
Tue, 16 Jul 2013Ford has announced that it is introducing "calibration updates designed to improve on-road fuel economy for owners of the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2013 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid."
We can speculate that these changes are at least due in part to lawsuits over mileage claims of hybrid vehicles. The automaker is enhancing 2013 models starting in August by raising their electric cruising speed to 85 miles per hour from 62 mph, optimizing the use of active grille shutters and the climate control system, shortening the engine warm-up period by 50 percent and reducing electric fan speed to minimize the fan's energy consumption.
It bears mentioning that Ford is doing pretty well in the US electrified vehicle market this year. The company claims to have grown its share in the segment by 12 points to 16 percent while taking a high number of Toyota Prius trade-ins in the process. Conversely, Toyota has experienced a five-percent drop in new-Prius sales over the same period. Additionally, Ford states that it has increased its share of the US vehicle market by one percent this year, more than any full-line automaker.
Lincoln video teases new things to come... but what?
Sun, 02 Dec 2012Lincoln has released a new video teasing... something. In what looks to be an advertisement for more advertising, the company has worked up a clip featuring everything from a drum solo and a flying hawk to Abraham Lincoln himself. The video shows a few shots of what looks to be an MKZ and promises more news is coming on Monday.
What does the company have up its sleeves? Rumors are bouncing around the web like so many ill-informed ping-pong balls, and cover everything from an alternative powertrain for the MKZ to a new two-door model - noise that is underscored by the presence of a Ford Mustang chassis lurking in the background of the video around the 27-second mark (see screen capture above).
Could Lincoln be considering a rear-wheel drive luxury coupe built on the pony's bones? A move like that seems awfully unlikely, but it certainly wouldn't hurt our feelings. Either way, we'll find out more tomorrow. In the interim, check out the teaser video below for yourself.
