Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States

FULLY LOADED FEATURES: I am selling my fully loaded 2003 Lincoln Navigator ULTIMATE 4WD version with NAVIGATION, which has a clean title (AutoCheck/CarFax), low miles (79,475), and – most importantly - a transferable nationwide $0-deductible warranty until 9/9/2015 or 100,000 miles, whichever comes sooner, so you have no worries.  Among many other features, this Navigator ULTIMATE has 4WD, American Walnut Wood trim, Leather 1st/2nd/3rd Row Seats, Power Folding 3rd Row Seats, Power Liftgate, AdvanceTrac Traction Control, High Intensity Discharge Headlamps, Heated/AC Front Seats, Park Assist Sensors, Rear A/C, Dual Front A/C, Power Folding Heated Mirrors, Power Adjustable Pedals, Power Seats and Towing Package, to name a few. In addition, although the ULTIMATE version is already the top of the line Navigator trim (the PREMIUM and LUXURY versions have less features), this car has the NAVIGATION System, Premium Sound System, Rear Seat DVD Entertainment System (and yes, I do have the original remote and headsets!), Power Deployable Running Boards, Power Moonroof and Engine Block Heater, as additional factory installed options on top of the ULTIMATE package.  You can check out the original Window Sticker in the picture. And, I have always had the car under warranty, so everything works! Oh, and I just put new Yokohoma Geolander H/T tires on it (only about 1000 miles on them; cost over $200 a piece).

CONDITION: This non-smoker car has always been in Florida; it has never seen any snow or ice. Overall the body and interior are in great shape for its age, as the pictures reflect. Of course, the car is not brand new and does have signs of normal wear and tear, but definitely less than you would expect based on the age of the car. There are (very few) small scratches and chips, (one or two) dings, and some front bumper bug etching, which are visible because I have never needed to have any paint work done on the car.  Most importantly, I have never been in an accident with the car.

DOCUMENTATION: I have the original window sticker, all original manuals, two keys/remotes, valet key, original DVD system remote, and the two original headsets that came with the car. I have the title of the car in my possession, so the transaction can be done quickly.

TRANSFERRABLE WARRANTY DETAILS: I am selling the car as-is, with the available transferrable third-party warranty. To my knowledge, the car and everything in it is in working order. If I noticed something was not working, I brought it to the local Lincoln dealer to get it fixed under my extended warranty. If you buy the car and find out later that something is not working, you can have it fixed under the extended warranty (assuming you transferred it into your name) until 09/09/2015 or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. This means you have about 18 months or 20,000 miles left on the warranty! The warranty is the very complete OEM-type warranty that resembles the original bumper to bumper factory warranty. I can send you a sample copy of the coverage terms upon request. I always went to the Lincoln dealer for repairs; however, according to the warranty terms you can go to any repair facility. The cost to transfer the warranty is only $40; it can be transferred only to private individuals, not dealers.

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING: I accept payment of $500 deposit via PayPal. The remaining balance needs to be paid by Certified/Cashier's Check (must be able to verify availability of funds with issuing bank before title is released), Bank Wire Transfer, or Cash (in person).  The Buy It Now price is reasonable for someone who is seriously looking for a car like this one. Reserve is set well below the Buy It Now price. You will have a hard time finding a nicer fully loaded 2003 Navigator than this one with low miles (only 79,475 miles) and available transferable warranty.

2015 Lincoln MKC

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

Back in 2012, Lincoln claimed its comeback bid was finally underway with the new-for-2013 MKZ. But don't you believe them - the renaissance won't actually begin in earnest until the shapely compact crossover seen here reaches showrooms in big numbers. That's because while the four-door MKZ was indeed a proper step toward rebirth, the 2015 MKC is the first wholly conceived vehicle under Lincoln as a standalone brand, a move first announced back in 2012.
That's an important distinction, because Lincoln's newfound emancipation from Ford's design and development processes has given the struggling marque both the corporate wherewithal and the will to develop a more fully formed product. The four-wheeled result seen here is a surprisingly cohesive luxury CUV, one with significantly more aesthetic and dynamic separation from its Ford Escape sibling than the MKZ and its Fusion counterpart. Said another way, after flogging Lincoln's latest for hundreds of miles over canyon roads outside of Santa Barbara, we've come to understand that this is far from a re-grilled Dearborn special with luxury tinsel - it's a bona fide standalone product that readily displays the sort of clear differentiation seen in platform cousins like the Audi Q5 and the Volkswagen Tiguan. It's the real deal.

1955 Lincoln Indianapolis concept up for auction

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

Lincoln was never a brand known for making sports cars. In fact it hasn't offered anything with less than four doors since the demise of the Mark VIII, and that was hardly what you'd call "performance oriented". But that doesn't mean that Ford's luxury marque never toyed with the idea.
In 1955 Ford delivered a Lincoln chassis (along with a 200-horsepower V8 engine and four-speed automatic transmission) to Carrozzeria Boano, an Italian coachbuilder that had just branched off from Ghia the year before. The resulting orange coupe you see here was named after Indianapolis and was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show. And while its detailing may have been divisive, the overall shape certainly caught the eye.

Lincoln's second, more traditional, Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

For its second Super Bowl commercial, Lincoln Motor Company has stepped away from the Max Ernst-ian surrealism of the "Steer the Script" spot. No Germans, no turtles, no aliens nor alpacas this time, just a 30-second run through the ways in which Lincoln sees the 2013 MKZ as a rebirth of the brand and everything a luxury consumer would want.
The kind of traditional spot that could run any time of year, the only question we had after watching it was: "Wait - was that... Abraham Lincoln?" Along with the press release from Lincoln, you can view the spot below.
If you want a deeper look and criticism into Lincoln's "Steer The Script," ad, have a read of AOL Autos' column: Lincoln's Super Bowl Ad is a Flop, written by Pete Bigelow.
