You are looking at a gorgeous 2003 Lincoln Navigator LX Limited with all the options. Looking to get around $11, 000, but will start the auction at no reserve.  Great color for Arizona and a great year round vehicle. Seats 7 comfortably. Here are some of the options I can think of right of the back: Power sliding floor boards, Folding mirrors, Park assist mirrors, Parking censors, Back up camera, Keyless entry, Leather seats, Heated and cooled front and center seats, Power 3rd seats (seats 3 and the 60/40 split seat move individually), Navigation, TV, DVD/CD, 2 TV monitors, Rear A/C, Quad Captain Seats, Power rear (side) glass, Power lift gate, HID headlights, Fog light, 24 inch Chrome wheels with a good set of matching Dunlop tires, Tow package (heavy duty with trailer and electrical adapter), Dimming rear view mirror, Brand new front brakes, New Hood support struts, Fresh oil change (Full Synthetic), Wood interior, Privacy glass, Roof rack, Reusable K&N air filter, and a few other things that I'm sure I just can't think of at this moment. Previous owner changed the air suspension to struts from an 05 Expeditioner because he kept getting air leaks. Works perfect this way and no worries about expensive repairs in the future. Vehicle is in great all around condition and rides and drives great. No mechanical problems. It does have it's minimal wear and tear, but in great condition as you can see in the pictures. Only selling because I have an opportunity to make a profitable investment and need a large amount of $$$ to put down, so I have all 4 of my vehicles up for sale, so please check out my other auctions. This vehicle has a free and clear in-hand title, and you would save around $1000 in taxes by buying from an individual Vs. a dealer. The Navigator has a clean Car Fax Report with no accidents. Bought it back in June, 2012 and has been my weekend car since. Just took it on a family road trip from AZ to MO (almost 3K miles) and it drove like a champ. For more pictures click on this link: http://www.shutterfly.com/lightbox/view.sfly?fid=a53f35c824cf330d6cbbd47cbb382743 . Car has just over 120K miles. the pictures show 116,000, but that's because I took them about a month ago and I just returned from a trip to Missouri on it. All are well cared for miles. Vehicle runs strong and shifts smooth. This vehicle is located in Tucson, AZ and if you are local, contact me I'll be glad to show it to you. If you have any questions or to see the vehicle you can contact me and I'll answer them ASAP. Buy with confidence, I have a 100% feedback.  I can deliver (drive) the SUV to your location (not to exceed 1000 miles for $.75 a mile for the 1st 500 miles and $.50 a mile for every mile there after. if you are from out of state, I can pick you up at the Tucson Airport free of charge. If you wish to ship the vehicle, I can drop it off at any shipping location within 200 miles from Tucson for the gas plus $50 for a bus ticket to get me back to town.

Ed Welburn leaves a lasting legacy at GM design

Sat, Apr 9 2016

General Motors design chief Ed Welburn retired July 1, and the soft-spoken stylist is leaving a lasting legacy at the automaker and on the industry. He became the first African American to lead design at a carmaker when he took over GM's top spot in 2003. Just six people have overseen the company's design, and Welburn followed in the footsteps of icons like Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell. When Welburn was given expanded global oversight in 2005, it wasn't ceremonial. He helped unite the company's sprawling design empire, and today is in charge of 2,500 people who have a hand in designing GM cars. "He nurtured a creative, inclusive, and customer-focused culture among our designers that has strengthened our global brands," Mary Barra, GM chairman and CEO, said in a statement." Welburn took the helm when GM and the industry were shaking off a general styling malaise that pervaded the 1980s and 1990s. During his 13 years in charge, he took risks, produced a wide range of styles for everything from hybrids to sports cars to big trucks, and leaves GM design in a better place. Welburn's replacement, Michael Simcoe from GM's international design unit, has big shoes to fill. News & Analysis News: Tesla attracted more than 325,000 preorders of the Model 3 in about a week. Analysis: If anything, the Model 3 is more popular than many expected. Elon Musk tweeted that surprising figure on Thursday, and he said just five percent ordered the maximum number of two. That seems to indicate actual owners rather than speculators are fueling the demand. With a starting price of $35,000 before incentives and an electric range of 215 miles, the Model 3 is the Tesla that's attainable for a lot of people. Clearly, that notion is resonating. News: Lincoln has drawn 40,000 hand-raisers for the Continental. Analysis: Okay, that's not a Tesla figure, but it's still an encouraging sign for Lincoln that one of its most famous and historic names still resonates in 2016. It also demonstrates using a real, albeit slightly dusty name, was the right call for the MKS replacement. "No other Lincoln vehicle has generated this much interest in this little time," Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra said in New York last month. The concept that debuted a year ago put Lincoln back on the map, and the production version remains true to that promise. It will stand out on the road when it arrives this fall, and ultimately, that kind of style will determine Lincoln's future.

Lincoln's first shipment of cars arrives in China

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

It has been two years since Lincoln first announced its plans to expand into China, and the first models destined for sale in the giant automotive market just came off the boat in Shanghai on September 10. It's going to be a few weeks before Chinese buyers actually have the chance to get behind the wheel, though.
The first two models being offered to China are the MKZ and MKC, as seen arriving in these photos, and they are going to be sold at dealers that look more like hotels than traditional showrooms. The first four are opening in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou in October, with a grand unveiling of the new brand to Chinese consumers later that month. By the end of the year, Lincoln wants to have eight dealers operating in seven cities. By 2016, the automaker wants to have a lineup of five models available in the People's Republic.
"This is the culmination of months of teamwork and collaboration both in North America and here in China," said Robert Parker, President of Lincoln China, in the company's release.

Did Neil Young just spill the beans on a 2016 Lincoln Continental? [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Neil Young may be better known as a singer-songwriter and rock n' roll icon than he is for his involvement with cars, but the Canadian-born musician is not without his automotive credentials. His latest book, after all, is titled "Special Deluxe: A Memoir of Life & Cars," and one of his most famous songs, "Long May You Run," was written about his old station wagon. But does that mean he's got an inside line on new cars coming out? In an appearance on CNBC's Mad Money with Matt Cramer this week, the Y in CSNY was plugging Pono, a portable music player and service he developed. During the segment, which you can watch in the video clip below, Young mentioned that his company was working on a new in-car audio integration with Harman, which as we know just signed a deal with Lincoln. Here's where it gets interesting: The Godfather of Grunge mentioned that Pono and Harman were preparing to put the system in the 2016 Lincoln Continental. The thing is, Lincoln hasn't made a Continental for a dozen years now. Does Neil know something we don't, or did he simply misspeak? He is, after all, working on an electric-converted '59 Continental he calls the LincVolt, so it wouldn't be hard to imagine he got mixed up. But maybe, just maybe, it was the first bit of leaked info that Ford's luxury division is planning on shifting away from its MK-based naming scheme and reviving at least one iconic nameplate.
