Collector Quality - near "New Condition" 1989 Lincoln LSC Coupe This fabulous Lincoln was purchased Showroom Fresh by the current owner's father. In 1989, it was a whimsical purchase by a long time Ford enthusiast who bought the car out of admiration, rather than a need for transportation. It's been garaged full time since delivery, and driven less than a thousand miles a year since then. Needless to say, it's as perfect  and original as a 24 year old car could be, outside of the care of a professional automobile museum. This car's condition parallels a new car, typically one or two years old - simply stated, this LSC is stunning. The Factory Paint is 100% original, and it is Like New. Likewise, the chrome, mouldings and exterior trim is all in beautiful condition. This LSC has never spent time under the Southern California sun unless it was being driven, so there's none of the "sunburn" often seen on similar cars of this vintage. The interior equals the exterior in defying it's vintage. It's debatable if the back seat was ever used. There's light scuffing on the Driver's Seat Bolster, due in part to the seat's inherent design, and a short tear on the side panel of the lower bolster. Those familiar with these cars will be amazed that the seats are this nice without being touched up. This Lincoln absolutely drives like new, it's smoke and stain free, and all power options including  heat and air conditioning function flawlessly. The original stereo failed, so a professionally installed replacement was installed. The original LSC rims were Chrome Plated off the Showroom Floor, and the ribs were highlighted with body color paint, still like new. The few blemishes on this gorgeous Lincoln are as follows: Ding over the left rear wheel opening (5th and 7th photos below) - no paint splinter. Scrape on the lower Front Valance, on the right side. The plastic Driving Lamp Covers are a little faded and pitted, but the lamps and lenses are perfect! Left side (Driver's) seat - leather is lightly scuffed on the bolsters due to driver entry.
Local inspection is welcome, please call Chris 424 223-3366 for an appointment to view.

2017 Lincoln Continental reimagined as a coupe

Thu, Jan 21 2016

If nothing else, the production version of the Lincoln Continental has provided ample water-cooler fodder around the office. There are a few camps: the "it took guts to build it" folks giving credit where due on a handsome design with an ambitious interior, and the "MKZ misstep" group haranguing the Motor Company for blowing fancy new styling cues on a lesser beast. And yet, unifying forces exist. We can all agree that these artist renders depicting a Continental sans a pair of doors present a captivating notion. Back in 1939, the original Continental was a two-door. Over time, four doors of various types, including convertibles, infiltrated the lineup. The last time the Continental was on sale, it was a four-door front-driver based on the platform shared with the Mercury Sable and Ford Taurus. Even though the new production Continental, like that penultimate one, is based on a front-drive platform, the execution is much different. As you probably already know, it features a so-far unique 400-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 and an advanced torque-vectoring AWD system, standard. Some neat concept car touches, like the fancy door handles and patented 30-way adjustable seats, made it in. What a two-door would bring to the table is mainly stylistic, emphasizing the long parallel character line in the door with brightwork running under the window that's echoed in the lower door sculpting and chrome strip. It accentuates the car's length, and calls attention to the trim taillights and their interconnecting bar element. A longer door makes for a more elegant transition into the C-pillar. It makes the production Continental, with its blacked-out but still obviously chunky B-pillar, look fussy. We don't expect Lincoln to build a coupe – that may be too wild for a company that doesn't seem completely comfortable with the notion of reinvention – but these renders were just too good not to share. Everything new at the 2019 New York International Auto Show

Wed, Apr 24 2019

Transcript: Welcome to the 2019 New York Auto Show. It's the last auto show, and so far it's my favorite of the year. We have a new buggy, compact pickup and trail ready SUV from Volkswagen. Ford brought the new Escape and a new Mustang performance variant, and we have a brand new Toyota Highlander and Subaru Outback. Let's go take a look around. We're here at the New York Auto Show with the Subaru stand. Normally the Subaru stand is just some white carpet and some show lighting. This year it's like we're in a national park. It's ... Frankly, I'm from Oregon. You're from Colorado. Yeah. It's making us feel at home. And in that way what better place and what better people to introduce this Subaru Outback which is pretty much the official car of Colorado and Oregon. Yeah. You actually have to buy a Subaru before they let you move to Colorado. Now instead of climbing up there and taking a look because we've been told we can't do that we're gonna go over there and check out another one. So the exterior, not that different. No. Looks exactly like an Outback. There's actually oddly a little more black plastic trim on the outside. A little too much for me. Right. It's interesting because it kind of slowly went away from that from the beginning because in the beginning the black plastic trim kind of made it an Outback, and now they're kind of bringing it back. I guess they needed to make it more macho. Right. Right. Now we're inside. Inside it looks pretty different. Swank. It's kind of swank for an Outback which has been pretty plain. Now this is the newly available vertically gigantic touch screen here. 11.6 inches. That is massive. This is how big it is when it's turned on ... just for the viewers. Now this is the onyx trim. So with that you get the black mirrors, the black wheels. This upholstery is special to the onyx, so it's gray and black and you also have this green stitching. Yeah, I like this accent stitching. It's kind of neat. Oh there's also a little tray there. Well this is a deep bin here. You can probably fit a phone. There we go. Almost. Yeah there are two USB ports. There's an additional two in the backseat. So this thing here you pop in the cup holder and it gives you a little more space or less space. These are really big, so if you have one of those Nalgene bottles I'm guessing it's going to fit in there. One of my complaints about my Subaru that I own now which is a naturally aspirated Crosstrek is that up in the mountains. It's slow?
