I am Selling my 1981 Lincoln Mark VI, it is Mechanically Perfect. I've installed a New Engine, Reconditioned Transmission and New Carb. and New Electrical Wires...... I have also put in a New Alternator and New Starter with a New Brain Module....... Did the car Need all this....Maybe not, BUT to be sure and to maintain a safe car I completely restored the Mechanics. To top it off I just put on Brand New High End Brakes and Tires.
Why am I selling a car I invested so much into........ On December 2012, I was unfortunate to have a STROKE. So for 5 months I have done nothing to the car, and from the look of things I wont be able to finish anything on the car. So my Loss can be your Pride and Joy.
The thing I was unable to complete was getting a new paint system on the car. BEFORE THE STROKE I STARTED SANDING THE CAR DOWN TO BARE METAL TO PUT A VERY ELEGANT PAINT AND FINISH ON THE CAR, But I have sense told my son to take the car to One Day so they could put paint on the car and make it really nice TO SALE, but he said no Dad, let a new buyer have it painted to what they would like, that what would add more value to the car. So I am taking his advice and letting the car go as -it -is.
The interior is all original and everything work as it should. The car rides like a dream. I have put 104 miles on the car blowing it out and was impressed.
The are 2 very small rust spots on the exterior that the painter told me they would take care of at no additional charge if I let them do the painting.
I bought this car to Restore and SHOW, Originally I purchased the car for $3100 and have spent over 8K in the upgrades. But I am selling it as a NO RESERVE Auction.
We are starting the bids at $1600.00
SEND EMAIL OR MAKE OFFERS, WE WILL RESPOND QUICKLY.

Good Luck and HAPPY BIDDING
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS LISTING AT ANYTIME AS WE ARE ADVERTISING TO SELL LOCALLY ALSO.

Ford Q3 pretax profits drop to $1.18B
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Following positive third quarter financial results recently from General Motors, rival Ford took a tumble in Q3. The automaker posted pre-tax profits of $1.18 billion, compared to about $2.59 billion in Q3 2013, a drop of around 54 percent. Net income also suffered with $835 million made in the quarter, versus $1.272 billion last year, a decline of about 34 percent. The Blue Oval blamed the gloomy figures on three reasons in its release: "lower volume, higher warranty costs and adverse balance sheet exchange effects."
There were problems of one kind or another in practically every region. North America experienced higher warranty costs than expected, partially due to recalls. The sales volume for the quarter was 665,000 units, versus 725,000 in Q3 2013, and pre-tax results amounted to $1.41 billion versus $2.296 billion last year.
South America and Europe both posted worse pre-tax results than last year. On the bright side, European volume was up slightly to 321,000 vehicles, from 303,000 in Q3 2013. The Middle East and Africa also lost $15 million, but that was an improvement compared to the $25 million loss previously experienced in this region.
J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn leads this month's list of discounts
Wed, Jul 8 2020If you're one of the few readers of this site who is in the market for a $350,000 Rolls-Royce Dawn, well, first of all, good for you. And you should be prepared to keep some extra money in your pocket, too, as the drop-top Roller leads this month's list of the largest monetary discounts with an average of $14,733 taken off the machine's $359,250 sticker price. That means buyers are paying an average transaction price of $344,517 for the 2020 Rolls-Royce Dawn this month, according to data provided to Autoblog by TrueCar, which equals about 4.1% off the price on the sticker. An intriguing pair of supercars land in second and third positions this month. The 2019 Acura NSX is selling for an average of $145,174 this month, which represents a 9% discount, or $14,373. With an eerily similar 9% discount of $14,079 comes the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage, which has an average transaction price of $142,002 this month. The Maserati Quattroporte is up next with an average discount of $13,634. Another Rolls-Royce model lands in the fifth spot, but instead of the aging Dawn it's the brand-new Cullinan SUV. Although the luxury 'ute boasts a large discount of $12,427, its staggeringly high retail price of $332,750 means buyers are getting a little less than 4% off the sticker. More interesting to most buyers will be the 2019 Lincoln Navigator, which is one of our favorite full-size SUVs in America. Buyers of Lincoln's range-topping vehicle are getting average discounts of $11,761. That represents a 13.4% savings for a final price of $75,940.
