This car does not even have a door ding or parking lot dent!!  One Family Owned Since 1980! That's 34 years!

My family were Lincoln dealers for many years and this car looks like it was sold 1 year ago. I wish you could see how nice this car is in person. Spare still in the trunk!!

I have most all documents and tag registrations dating back to new. All glove box books and manuals are with this car. I have both sets of " Original Keys " !! An Elvis tape is in the 8 track player and it works. I do have floor mats that come with the car.

Factory Color Keyed Champagne Aluminum Wheels are in place. Tires are new. Changed the A/C to R134, blows Ice Cold. Engine compartment is totally original looking. The original smog equipment is still in place!

This Mark V was ordered with the Factory Glass Sunroof and the Factory Ford C.B. Radio. The original C.B. power antenna in the right front fender still works!

The underside of this car is very clean, I don't have any photos of that.

Sold new at Robinson Bros. Lincoln Mercury in Mobile, Alabama. I have a newspaper clipping from 1979 when this car was advertised!

If you have ever wanted one of these majestic Lincoln Mark V's give me a call!

If you would like to make a close offer that we both can agree on I can put a Buy-It-Now at our price and we can go from that. Don't loose this car over a $100 dollar bill or even worse let some computer program out smart you and over bid you in the last second of the auction!  That has certainly happened to me before!

I don't see how you could find a better one with lower miles for this price! This year we have seen these cars with similar miles sell for around $15,000 at the major auctions and that did not include the 8% to 10% commission that they charge! I have not seen any with the factory Ford C.B Radio or any nicer than this Mark V !!

Please look at the photos of this incredible Lincoln Mark V Cartier Edition, she is just breathtaking!

I am a licensed dealer in the State of Alabama and all paperwork will be transferred to the new owner when funds have cleared our bank. Please send your inspector or come yourself and see just how nice this car is. I am only 5 minutes from the Mobile Regional Airport ( MOB ). If you fly in I can pick you up, let you look, take you back. Cannot remove the car from our secure lock-up until funds clear, its just business. Bank transfer is the safest.  It can be stored in our secure lock-up insured by me until you can pick it up. Sold as Is with No Warranty expressed or implied but the car is exactly like I say it is. Check my feedback please.

I am very easy to deal with and I want this to be fun for both of us!! Just please give her as good a home as it has had for its entire life, she deserves it!!

Please call Dennis Lasseter, Jr. if you have any questions. My personal cell is 251-769-1639. Please call between the hours of 8am and 9 pm central time.  I cannot hold this car, sorry.

Thanks for looking at my incredible 1979 Lincoln Mark V Cartier Edition with "16566 ACTUAL MILES" and again don't hesitate to call me if you need additional information or want to make an offer we both can live with.

My emails are slow to answer, sorry!

Even Ford executives had issues with MyFord Touch

Fri, Oct 7 2016

MyFord Touch is one of the auto industry's more controversial features. The media broadly panned the infotainment system developed with Microsoft for its slow responses and reliance on voice commands to navigate its deep menus. Oh, and Ford executives weren't big fans, either. Newly revealed court documents in a California class-action lawsuit demonstrate the level of venom Ford employees, both big and small, reserved for the Blue Oval's infotainment system. An error caused Bill Ford's navigation system to crash, leaving the family scion stuck on the side of the road in an unfamiliar area. The documents, unearthed by Forbes, detail current CEO Mark Fields' aggravations with MFT, too. A mechanic emailed an image of a cracked infotainment screen on an Edge to one of Ford's top Sync engineers, Kenneth Williams, suggesting "Mark Fields may have been a little aggravated with the system." But Ford and Fields' issues are nothing compared to the woes of the engineers that had to work on MFT. In a collection of emails obtained by Forbes, one engineer called the system "a polished turd," while another simply said, "These poor customers." And after one engineer suggested using a photo of Ford's Oakville Assembly Plant – home of the Edge, Flex, Lincoln MKX, and MKT production – as a background for the system, one of his coworkers said in an email that someone should instead Photoshop the image to read "abandon hope all ye who enter here," the Detroit News reports. Another summed up the problem, saying: "Ford's quality reputation is completely on the line ... another model year with the same crap is not acceptable." MyFord Touch almost single-handedly torpedoed Ford's reputation in widely reported quality metrics, including JD Power and Consumer Reports. Ford responded with a refreshed Sync3, a wildly improved rethink of its infotainment system that is far more responsive and easier to live with every day. NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.

Annie Leibovitz goes Continental for Lincoln campaign

Mon, Oct 10 2016

Lincoln has a lot riding on the new Continental, and the company is now calling upon renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz to glam-up its new flagship. Her photos are part of a new series dubbed "That's Continental," which the automaker will use in high-end publications and on social media. Leibovitz's iconic photos have been used in magazines like Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and she's photographed celebrities, politicians, literary icons, and landmark events. The new series for the Continental is Leibovitz's first attempt at car photography and it follows a road trip theme inspired by the trips she took with her father as a child. The photos for the campaign were shot in New York City with a group of non-professional models, including a musician, an artist, an actor, and a film director and his dog, Seven. "Annie Leibovitz is a photographer of substance," said Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra. "The rich, warm emotions her photos evoke, mirror the feelings we want our clients to experience on all of their journeys in the new Lincoln Continental." While we're still arguing over the Continental's looks, Leibovitz's pictures show the sedan at its best. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
