1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV.   No Reserve, Special Givenchy Designer Series.   The Givenchy is the rarest of the 1976 Designer Series Marks, with only 1,500 ever made.  Its stunning Diamond Fire aqua paint with matching leather seat interior offset by the white vinyl roof and side moldings make this one of the sweetest color combinations ever.  Great Chrome throughout, including the belt line Signature Series Chrome (if you've looked at Marks you know these pieces are hard to find with good chrome). This car always turns heads.  Only 35,500 documented miles.  Note the correct era date coded plug wires and engine compartment.  All the panels are original and still carry their paint inspection marks (see pics).  You can get in this car and drive it home.  Please note the serial numbers on the tires indicate that these tires were purchased in the 1970s or 1980s (most likely the 1980s), adding further evidence of the cars low mileage.  These tires are old old so if you want to drive this car other than around the block, please get new tires first.   New painted a few years ago (modern day base coat clear) and its paint is in good condition with only minor scratches and blemishes.   The car is a joy to drive and they just don't make them that ride and drive like this anymore, the ride is like being on a cloud.  Certified funds, Cashier Checks, personal checks accepted. Checks must clear before delivery.  We will gladly assist on the logistics of transportation if you need.

Lincoln Navigator facelift only has to last until 2016 replacement

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

The Navigator is not only Lincoln's longest-serving nameplate - dating back to 1998 when the final Town Car was introduced - but it's also the oldest model still in the brand's portfolio. The current Navigator arrived on the market in 2007, and underwent a refresh just a few months ago for the 2015 model year. The updates were subtle, but if you're waiting for an all-new model, it's just a couple of years down the road.
According to Automotive News, Lincoln is already working on an all-new replacement for the current, long-serving Navigator, which will be revealed two years from now in the middle of 2016 as a 2017 model. At that point, we're expecting it could switch (alongside the Expedition) to the new aluminum architecture introduced on the Ford F-150, seeing as how the current model is based on the old F-150.
In the meantime, the refreshed Navigator ditches the big 5.4-liter Triton V8 in favor of a more economical 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, and wages war in two wheelbase lengths against the V8-powered competition in the form of the Cadillac Escalade (and Escalade ESV), the Land Cruiser-based Lexus LX and the Infiniti QX80, which is based on the overseas Nissan Patrol.

Lincoln takes to the Super Bowl with Twitter schizophrenia

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Lincoln has officially pulled off the wraps on its ad for this year's Super Bowl. As you may recall, the company invited people to send in their tweets to help craft the spot's story line with Jimmy Fallon in the director's chair. The company chose five tweets and ran with them, and the result is, well, about as focused as your average online comment thread. We do get plenty of shots of the all-new Lincoln MKZ, as well as at least one comment on the interior leather's suppleness.
Do we learn a single thing about the brand's new honey? Nope. But there's a turtle crossing, a band of bikers, a German farming student and herd of alpacas. Mostly, the ad just makes us tired. You can check out the full spot before it airs during the big game by watching it below. We'll be busy preparing for the alpacalypse.
AOL Autos' associate editor Peter Bigelow went deeper in his criticism. Have a read: Lincoln's Super Bowl Ad is A Flop.

2015 Lincoln Navigator puts on a brave face, offers EcoBoost V6 only

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Lincoln has finally given its SUV a facelift after seven long years.
Seven years is a long time. For the auto industry, though, seven years is an absolute eternity. Most vehicles receive clean-sheet redesigns within the span of seven years, usually getting a facelift of some sort after year three or four. Not Lincoln.
