Interior is in very nice condition.  Black leather and vinyl interior nicely equipped with factory options.  The only thing known not to work is the two rear windows. surely a vacuum issue just never sorted it out since never used.  Front and Rear seats no cracking or excessive wear.  Steering wheel and all switches in good to excellent shape.  Blower motor works, temperature works, speed control, stereo, electric attanea, drivers and passenger seat all electric and each function works, all lights front and rear work, including switches,- Maple Wood inlay in dash in very good condition, Maple Steering wheel with Brass Inlay in very good shape- all glass and chrome framing in good shape- no chips- all seat belts (lap and shoulder separate) - all gauges work including flasher indicators and high beam indicator light- Cartier clock functioning- All carpet original and in good shape, no cigarette burns or tears or cuts- no tears cuts on seats.  Trunk interior original carpet and spare carpet cover-spare tire- jack- touch up paint

Exterior is in good condition less some surface rust.  All chrome and Stainless in very good shape- some pitting but original and in good shape and all there.  The rear bumper is  corroded on the bottom side.  Each corner has some sort of rust- Left rear is the worst- it is not rusted thru but it is the worst of all four.  The left Front fender has a very small dent in it- on the front leading edge as it curls 90 degrees down.  All rust is surface.  The bottom of the car has surface rust- but absolutely no rot- just surface rust from sitting in a garage-  all chrome trim is in very good condition- all window mouldings and seals in good condition- no cracking etc...  All door surfaces, door hinge areas, trunk lid, hood edges and corners etc... in very good condition.  Original wheels and hub caps- Headlight buckets work, All lights exterior work.  Side view mirror remote functional.  All original services stickers on door edge, all factory markings(yellow numbers indicating original fenders, hood, fire shroud, deck lid)  on panels still evident- including factory white markings on inner fenders-

Mechanical is in good condition.  Right side (passenger) valve cover gasket has a small leak- Air Conditioner would need recharged in order to blow cold- but everything functional.  Heater Core is bypassed

New Battery installed -  The car starts, idles, shifts, drives perfectly straight, no leaks of any sort (less valve cover)-  when braking there is no pulling or shuttering or pulsation.  Carb probably could use a cleaning and a general overall tune up- but the car runs great.  No exhaust leaks.  Very quiet and enjoyable driver that is ultra smooth.

Lincoln plans pilot subscription service for pre-owned vehicles

Fri, Mar 30 2018

Lincoln's foray into the world of monthly subscriptions will follow the mold of Ford's Canvas program and launch a pilot service offering a range of pre-owned 2017 Lincoln vehicles in West Los Angeles and the San Francisco area. Lincoln first announced plans for a subscription service on the sidelines of the L.A. Auto Show. The luxury automaker says its new service will allow customers to have a vehicle "as if it were their own," with a monthly payment that covers a prescribed mileage package and includes comprehensive insurance, warranty, maintenance and roadside assistance. It'll be based on Ford's nearly year-old Canvas program, also offered in the Bay Area and West Los Angeles. It offers pre-owned Ford vehicles on a monthly subscription basis, including insurance, maintenance and warranty coverage. Terms for that program are one to 12 months, with an ability to swap cars at any time. While Lincoln didn't announced pricing or a start date for its own subscription program, Canvas' existing service starts at $400 a month, not including tax and depending on vehicle and other options, for pre-owned Ford vehicles. Ford in February said its Canvas fleet has more than 600 customers who've logged more than 3 million miles in the two markets. Lincoln joins a growing list of automakers including Volvo, Cadillac and Porsche who are offering monthly subscription services as an alternative to traditional ownership or leasing. The subscription service will also come with Lincoln's Pickup & Delivery program, in which a valet picks up a customer's vehicle for service at any location and provides them with a loaner Lincoln before returning their vehicle. Lincoln also reiterated its plans to expand its Lincoln Personal Driver service first piloted in San Diego and Miami to Dallas, saying it will soon be integrated into the Lincoln Way mobile app. The service, previously called Lincoln Chauffeur, allows customers to call on a screened personal driver who can also assist with errands while the customers attend to other matters. The luxury brand is emphasizing "warm, human and effortless" services as a way to differentiate itself from its competitors. Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.

MKC Concept is the real fresh start for Lincoln [w/poll]

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

We were admittedly bullish about the Lincoln MKC Concept when we introduced it to you yesterday, as we were taken aback by how cohesive the C-platform crossover is in the metal. As it turns out, so were you, dear reader. With hundreds of comments booked on our original Deep Dive story, the overwhelming temperature of the Autoblog Commenteriat is one of surprise and delight - quite an accomplishment for a marque that many had written off for dead. The reception here under the bright lights of the Detroit Auto Show appears to be no less positive, but we thought you might want a second, closer look afforded by these live photos.
Lincoln remains mum on production MKC drivetrain specifics (we're thinking it will start with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder out of its similarly sized Ford Escape relative, or maybe the midlevel 1.6-liter), but we shouldn't have to wait too long. The showcar is expected to closely mirror the production model (due as early as later this year), so much so that Ford global marketing boss Jim Farley explicitly told the press conference masses, "When you see the MKC, do not think concept." That's good news, as the MKC is pivotal to Lincoln's effort to rebuild awareness and consideration on the back of its MKZ sedan, a model just now going on sale. In fact, with the small crossover segment exploding, the MKC could very well turn out to be more important to the brand than the MKZ.
After seeing these new photos, are you more or less enamored with Lincoln's new concept? Leave a comment after voting in our poll below.
