Up for sale is this Pristine 2001 Lincoln LS V8. This vehicle is immaculate and has a Black Onyx exterior with grey leather interior. The leather seats are in perfect condition and they are also fully powered and heated as well.  This is a very rare option to find in these cars. This Lincoln just turned 128k miles and it runs and drives fantastically. This is a really nice, super clean, well maintained car and probably the cleanest LS on ebay. The drive is so smooth and quiet, its like driving a new luxury sedan.
This vehicle was very well taken cared of and it shows. This vehicle needs nothing but a new caring owner and a new home. The previous owner never smoked in this car and the vehicle was always garaged kept by the middle-aged couple. The vehicle was also just fully detailed and its ready for its next owner to love it the same way the previous owner did.
This Lincoln is loaded up with every possible option That could have been ordered. It has leather heated seats, power seats, 6-Disc In-dash CD changer, upgraded optional Alpine stereo, chrome alloy wheels, power glass moonroof, remote keyless entry, on-board computer system, fog lamps, digital control panel, factory alarm, traction control, More powerful V8 engine upgrade, sport package, power windows, power locks, cruise control, steering wheel controls, power mirrors, power tilt/telescoping steering column, and everything you could possibly want.
This Lincoln comes with the original Lincoln Key and the remote ky fob as well. We also have all the original floor mats for the vehicle, the unused spare tire and jack, and the complete tool kit as well. Its all here!
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. The car has nice matching BF Goodrich tires all around with plenty of tread remaining. The previous owner just installed a brand new battery as well. We have driven it 500 miles and it seems to be running and driving 100%. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has new brakes, new rotors, and new windshield wiper blades.
The exterior of the vehicle is super clean. The body panels are all perfect and the paintwork in perfect shape. The paint is glossy and the vehicle looks like its only a couple of years old. The exterior is in above average condition and near mint. There is no real flaws to point out on the exterior at all. Its just a great vehicle and its looks fantastic. The paint and all body panels are straight and original.
The interior of the vehicle is super clean. The seats are in great condition and the leather is supple and clean. The dash and door panels are also in perfect condition and clean.  All the trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The interior is in fantastic condition in my opinion. The interior was just completly detailed recently! There is nothing to pick on with this car. It looks 100% better then it does in the photos.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. I know a transport company that can ship the vehicle anywhere domestically for great discounted rates! A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. I do drive this vehicle daily, so the mileage on the vehicle may be slightly higher at the end of the auction. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  Thanks and good luck bidding!

Ford recalls 9,900 vehicles across two campaigns

Tue, Dec 29 2015

Ford is recalling a total of 9,885 vehicles in two campaigns. The Basics: In one recall, Ford will recall 9,017 examples of the 2013 Escape with build dates from January 11, 2012, to April 1, 2013, and the 2013-2014 Focus ST produced between May 3, 2012, and October 14, 2013. The Problem: Splices in the engine wiring harness might not have enough compression, and this can cause the manifold absolute pressure sensor to send incorrect signals to the powertrain control module. This issue could cause the engine to stall. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will replace the current crimped splices with new splices, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If You Own One: The repair campaign will begin on January 4, 2016. More Information: Ford recalled the 2013 Escape and Focus ST in August 2014 for the same problem, and this is an expansion of that campaign, according to company spokesperson John Cangany to Autoblog. The Basics: In the smaller of the two campaigns, Ford will recall 868 examples of the 2013 Explorer, Explorer Police Utility, Taurus, Taurus Police Interceptor, Flex, Lincoln MKS, and MKT. The Problem: The fuel delivery module can crack, which would cause a fuel leak. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel delivery module. If You Own One: Owners should receive notice soon because NHTSA's report says the recall begins in December. More Information: According to Cangany, this recall is an expansion of a campaign from 2013 for these vehicles. RECALL Subject : Engine Wiring Splices may cause Stall Report Receipt Date: DEC 02, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V813000 Component(s): ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Potential Number of Units Affected: 9,017 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle Make Model Model Year(s) FORD ESCAPE 2013 FORD FOCUS 2013-2014 Details Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company SUMMARY: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013 Escape vehicles manufactured January 11, 2012, to April 1, 2013, and 2013-2014 Focus ST vehicles manufactured May 03, 2012, to October 14, 2013. Insufficient compression in the engine wiring harness splices to the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor may provide incorrect signals to the powertrain control module (PCM). CONSEQUENCE: The incorrect signals could cause the vehicle to hesitate or the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Hennessey’s 600-hp Lincoln Navigator is here

Tue, Oct 9 2018

The tuners at Hennessey have begun deliveries of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator HPE600, a full-size SUV that boosts the Navigator's normal 450-horsepower output to 600 hp, announcing its arrival with a video showing the performance 'ute riding a dynamometer. Hennessey said it was a natural decision to turn to the Navigator because it has mostly the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine as the F-150 Raptor, which it converted last year to the 602-hp 6x6 VelociRaptor. So it added engine management computer software upgrades, a stainless steel exhaust system, high-flow air induction and large front-mounted intercooler with blow-off valve. Dyno results in the video show the Navigator topping out at around 500 hp and 500 pound-feet of torque at around 3,800 rpm at the wheels; Hennessey says the 600 hp comes at 6000 rpm. The upgrades are good to take the nearly three-ton SUV from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds, about 0.7 seconds quicker than the standard Navigator, and run the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 107 mph. The tuning package will set you back $19,950, including installation. Additional options include 22-inch forged monoblock wheels, lowered suspension and Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers and 15.1-inch brake rotors. There are also HPE600 badges on the front door jambs and tailgate, and embroidered headrests. It comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. Just 200 are planned for the 2018 model. You can order it now through Hennessey or any authorized Hennessey Lincoln dealer. Related Video: Image Credit: Hennessey Lincoln SUV Luxury Performance Hennessey tuner lincoln navigator tuning

Tesla offered nuclear plant in France, and more | Autoblog Minute

Fri, Apr 8 2016

Longtime GM design chief Ed Welburn retires, Lincoln says it has high customer interest in Continental, and could Tesla build the Model 3 in France? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] General Motors' long time Vice President of design, Ed Welburn, announced his retirement this week. He joined GM in 1972 and he's just the sixth design chief in GM's 108 years. He's being replaced by Michael Simcoe who is Vice President of design for GM's international operations. Now Ed Welburn's time at GM dates back to when he was 11 years old. He wrote a letter to the company saying he wanted to be a designer. [00:00:30] Someone at General Motors got back to him and the rest is history. Lincoln already has 40,000 hand raisers for the new Continental. Now those aren't Tesla figures but it's still a very healthy number and shows a lot of interest for its new flagship sedan. The Continental will replace the MKS in Lincoln's lineup. Continental will be in showrooms this fall and it will offer a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo with 400 HP. Lincoln President Kumar Galhotra said, "No other Lincoln vehicle has [00:01:00] generated this much interest in this little time." This week in Tesla news, Reuters reports that a French government official has offered Elon Musk the site of a an old nuclear reactor to build a car factory. The reactor, which is located in the Alsace region of France, is set to close at the end of this year. Now this notion is not that far fetched. Musk says that he would consider it. Meanwhile demand for the Model 3 continues to be strong and has attracted hundreds of thousands of hand raisers. [00:01:30] Those are the highlights form the week that was. Be sure to come back this Saturday for my full recap where I'll have additional insights into the automotive industry. For Autoblog, I'm Greg Migliore.
