2005 lincoln ls,just over 80k miles,only issues i know of is that the pass window when rolled up on auto will go back down unless you stop it before it gets all the way up and manually put it up all the way(a stop sensor),the front bumper cover has a crack,besides that it was just serviced and checked over,changed the oil,filter,cabin filter,flushed and filled the antifreeze,checked brakes,all ok. this has been my sons car for about a year and the only reason for selling it is that its a v8 and he wants better gas milage with a new 4cyl vehicle,have clear title on hand,vehicle is titled and registered in florida,but is in ATLANTA GEORGIA at this time 15 minutes from ATLANTA airport,bring cash and drive it home,have driven from tampa fla to atlanta ga several times,vehicle sold AS-IS no warrenty implied, according to the auto check system it shows the car was sold at an auction and had one accident but all else checked good,do not know why that is,but shows as a negative on there system for sold at auction,not salvage or other issues,look at book value $7500-9500

Ford recalling 370,000 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Town Car models
Fri, 30 Aug 2013The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will recall some 370,000 Crown Victoria (pictured), Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car vehicles from model years 2005 through 2011, for an issue regarding the lower intermediate steering shaft. 355,000 of the vehicles in question were sold in the US, with the other 15,000 sold in Canada.
The report indicates that corrosion of the lower intermediate steering shaft could cause a "loss of steering," presumably because of a partial or complete failure of the part. The report points out the dealers will inspect and replace the offending steering component for recalled cars, and may also secure a lower steering column bearing and replace the upper intermediate steering shaft as needed. The company is unaware of any reports of the faulty part causing any accidents or injuries.
Ford helpfully lists states in which corrosion is more likely to have taken place, mostly in the Snow Belt, as you might guess. Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia are listed.
Feds Probe Power Steering In 938,000 Ford Midsize Cars
Mon, Oct 6 2014U.S. safety regulators are investigating complaints that the power-assisted steering can suddenly fail on three Ford midsize car models. The probe covers 938,000 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars from the 2010 through 2012 model years, as well as the 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has received 508 complaints alleging that the cars lost power-assisted steering, causing increased steering effort. Four complaints say the problem caused crashes, but no injuries were reported. The agency says in documents posted Monday on its website that in many cases, a warning message appeared as the failure happened. Restarting the car corrected the problem in some cases, but the problem returned in others. The agency says it will check the scope and frequency of a problem. It could seek a recall. Ford says it's cooperating with the probe. Shares of Ford Motor Co. rose 6 cents to $14.65 in morning trading Monday. Its shares are down 14 percent over the past year. Lincoln - pardon us, the Lincoln Motor Company - assures us that Ford is committed to its success. The awkwardness of the statement (which feels vaguely like your mother telling you that she loves and supports you regardless of what everyone else thinks) was hard to escape when we recently spent a few days with the all-new second-generation 2013 Lincoln MKZ.
Launched earlier this year at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the MKZ is a midsize premium sedan that shares platforms with the Ford Fusion (also all-new for 2013). The sedan's primary competitors, according to Lincoln, include the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS and Lexus ES Series sedans - each an established, accomplished player.
