A very nice looking and driving car. These cars are basically Jaguar S-types with a Lincoln body, Jag engine and Ford transmission. One of the best handling cars I've ever owned! This is the rare LSE edition. The last year the LSE was offered. Unique body treatments, including unique front fascia, rocker panels, rear fascia and chrome 8 spoke wheels. Very rare! Car has been well taken care of and drives very well. Very tight. Tracks and handles like a true sports car. This chassis, the DEW98 from Ford, was the basis for the '05 up Mustang and was shared by not only the Jag S, but the Ford Thunderbird as well. A great chassis! The interior is near new. No flaws are visibly present. The drivers seat shows minimal wear, but no discoloration or holes, just slight wrinkling you'd expect from a car with half the mileage. The exterior has one rear door that was refinished. The match could have been better, but it's not enough for me to worry about. The front fascia has the typical bug/rock chips you would expect from 8 years and 118k miles of driving. The rear fascia has one spot on it from a car wash that could use touched up. All VERY minor stuff.

The car had a very clean Ford Oasis report and all maintenance was done up through the warranty period ending. The car has newer Toyo Proxes-4 tires on it. They have about 6k miles, and were recently rotated. I use Mobil One synthetic in all my cars and the oil was recently changed. If your looking for a great sports sedan, that looks expensive and drives like a Porsche for less than eight grand, then this is your car. Newer Brembo slotted/drilled rotors have been installed along with ceramic pads. The thing stops on a Canadian dime! A new Motorcraft battery was installed a couple months ago. Coil packs have just been replaced, and the dreaded transmission solenoid pack has been replaced as well. Car runs and drives like it should and then some. No disappointments! Mileage will change, as it is my daily driver.

The car also has a BEL remote radar/laser detector installed ($1200 new). Works VERY well! (don't ask how I know!)

Car is priced well below Kelly Blue book. Bought a new Cadillac and this has to go. Check my feedback, I've bought and sold many cars on eBay and all transactions have been very positive. Fly in and drive it home. You'll love this car!

Ford recalls 422,000 SUVs for rear view camera display that may fail

Thu, May 18 2023

WASHINGTON — Ford is recalling 422,000 sport utility vehicles in the U.S. because the video output may fail, preventing the rear view camera image from displaying. The recall covers 2020 through 2023 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair SUVs with a 360-degree camera. The recall expands and replaces prior Ford callbacks for the same issue in 2021 and 2023. Ford last year updated the image processing module (IPMB) software in an effort to address the issue. Ford said on Thursday it is "working together with suppliers to identify root cause and provide the correct remedy as quickly as possible". The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the loss of the rear view camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 26. Last year, Ford said it had reports of 17 minor crashes relating to the recall issue and more than 2,100 warranty reports but no reports of injuries. The NHTSA in August 2021 opened an investigation after Ford in 2020 recalled 620,246 vehicles for another rear camera issue. The investigation is reviewing if Ford had recalled the vehicles in a timely fashion and if it recalled enough vehicles. Recalls Ford Lincoln Crossover SUV

Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.

2016 Lincoln MKX packs plenty of power, MKC-inspired looks

Tue, Jan 13 2015

Following on the heels of Ford's unveiling of its new Edge a few months back, Lincoln officially introduced the new MKX counterpart on Tuesday at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Unlike its Ford counterpart, the MKX does away with any notion of a four-cylinder, opting for the buyer's choice of a pair of V6 engines. At its base is FoMoCo's familiar 3.7-liter V6, generating a projected 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, although the real exciting powertrain news focuses on Lincoln's optional engine. Like the Edge, the top-end engine is a 2.7-liter, EcoBoost V6 that promises "more than" 330 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. We'd love to tell you about the performance impact this new engine has on the MKX, but as Lincoln probably hasn't published a 0-60 time since 1967, that simply isn't possible. Suffice it to say, we expect the most potent engine should offer pretty brisk acceleration. Aside from the power increase provided by the MKX's new engine lineup, Lincoln has thoroughly refitted the crossover's exterior, using its handsome MKC kid brother as its inspiration. It's a good look, to be honest, allowing the new CUV to maintain its styling edge over its Blue Ovaled platform mate. See what we mean in our gallery of live images, right from the Lincoln stage at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
