I have a 2002 Lincoln LS V8 for sale/parts with 129,015 miles.

3 BRAND NEW tires (totaling $350) as of last week (December ’13) and one new April ’13 on 17” Helo rims. The rims which were new when I bought the vehicle 1.5 years ago were going for OVER $1000. I’ve done my research and they go now for $900 new.

I am willing to sell the engine and transmission for the right price. You must be able to remove and transport on your own.

V8 engines for this vehicle go for $1,300 and up. This engine also fits select few Jaguar models.

8 cyl transmission goes for $700 and up.  This vehicle ONLY has 129,015 miles.

New stereo April ‘2013 with MP3, CD, Aux, USB and Bluetooth I spent $400.

Power EVERYTHING – steering wheel, side mirrors, windows, sunroof, heated leather seats, etc. Also has solar powered windows meaning, you hold down a button on the keys and all the windows/sunroof will roll down on their own with the car off or running.

Clear title with TITLE IN HAND. All manuals and one key set.  My mechanic said there is frame damage, that unfortunately, the previous owner did not apprise me of before me purchasing this car not even 1 1/2 years ago. So at this point, I believe the best option is to part it out unless I get a good enough offer to let the whole vehicle go. I am definitely willing to sell the whole car for the right price!

Make me an offer(s) and let’s do business!

Oh look, it's the 2017 Lincoln Continental

Thu, Jan 7 2016

Sorry about the super-low-res photo, but what you're looking at here is the 2017 Lincoln Continental ahead of its official debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week. The image appeared online courtesy of Ford Inside News, showing the production version of Lincoln's new 400-horsepower sedan. The front fascia certainly looks different than the gussied-up concept we first saw in New York last year, but as the Ford forum suggests, this could just be a lower-spec model. Seems weird to us that Lincoln would introduce some snazzy, full-LED headlights and then just slap projector beam units on the actual production car. But you never know. We'll know for sure when the car is revealed at Cobo Hall next week. Expect it to have all-wheel drive with the company's new 400-hp, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 (that debuted in the MKZ in Los Angeles). Let us know what you think of the production-spec Conti, in Comments. Related Video:

What will the next Presidential limo look like?

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

With recent news that the Secret Service has begun soliciting proposals for a new armored limousine, we've been wondering what the next presidential limo might look like. The current machine, nicknamed "The Beast", has a design based on a car that's no longer sold: the Cadillac DTS. If General Motors gets the job again, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the government still owns a chunk of the company, the next limo's shape would likely resemble the new XTS (below, left). But Cadillac hasn't always been the go-to car company for presidential whips.
Lincoln has actually provided far more presidential limousines throughout history than Cadillac. In fact, the first car modified for Commander-in-Chief-carrying duty was a 1939 Lincoln K-Series called "Sunshine Special" used by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the last Lincoln used by a president was a 1989 Town Car ordered for George H.W. Bush. If President Obama wanted a Lincoln today, it would likely be an amalgam of the MKS sedan and MKT crossover, as illustrated above.
And what about Chrysler? The only record we could find of a President favoring the Pentastar is Nixon, who reportedly ordered two limos from the company during his administration in the '70s, and then another one, known today as the "K-Car limo," in the '80s after he left office. Obama, however, has a personal - if modest - connection to Chryslers, having owned a 300 himself before he took office. A 300-based Beast (above, right) would certainly earn the U.S. some style points.

Why Lincoln says it's loving Ellen and Conan MKC ad spoofs [w/videos]

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

You would think that commercial being ridiculed across the Internet would be an advertising executive's worst nightmare, but that's not necessarily the case. At least not when it comes to Lincoln and its latest campaign to promote the new MKC.
The campaign features Matthew McConaughey channeling his characters from True Detective and The Lincoln Lawyer, and was quickly spoofed by both Conan O'Brien and Ellen DeGeneres. But instead of shaking their heads in dismay at the comedy talk-show hosts' take on their ad, Lincoln and its advertising firm Hudson Rouge welcome the free publicity.
"We're flattered. Just to get out into the public mind with parodies says you've achieved a certain amount of notoriety," Hudson Rouge CCO Jon Pearce told Automotive News. "It's hard to put a dollar amount on earned media. We couldn't ask for better."
