Lincoln Continental 2001 W/ Remote Start And Sunroof- Runs Great on 2040-cars
Greenfield, Massachusetts, United States
Lincoln Continental 2001 w/ REMOTE START - RUNS GREAT - $3250 (Greenfield) Odometer: 212,000 (Recent Oil Change, No Mechanical Issues)This is a great driving vehicle, especially on the highway. It may be 13 years old, but from behind the steering wheel you wouldn't know it. Its got a V8 that really gets this car up and going. The air shocks make it ride smooth and can be adjusted from the dashboard. It also is front wheel drive, and has electronic stability control, so its great in the snow - especially when using the set of snow tires mounted on a second set of Lincoln rims that I'll include with the sale. The sunroof and ice-cold AC make this both fun and comfortable to drive in the warmer months too! As for the condition of the Continental, this one is clean inside and out, with exception some rust below the rear doors and wheel wells. This can be easily patched, if wanted, otherwise drive as is -your choice. Either way, I price hundreds below the going value, thus you can spend the money to fix if wanted to and still be ahead. This is my daily driver....and I do love driving it, but it was time for to upgrade. This is a very safe and reliable vehicle. I've owned this car for the past 9 years and am only the second owner, with service records from when it drove off the dealer's lot. Lincoln stopped making this model in 2002, so I took great care of mine, because I knew I wasn't going to find another one. Once you drive it, and ride in it, you'll know what I mean - you get spoiled rather quickly. The electronics package includes keypad on door, a 6 CD changer, premium sound, system check function on instrument cluster, power windows/locks, heated seats, power seats, power sunroof, power mirrors, self dimming mirrors, and a Crime Stopper Remote Car Starter (easily over a 1/4 mile range and remote vibrates to tell you car started). Plus original owners manual, three factory keys, two factory remotes, and two remotes for the car starter. Similar year (2001) and mileage (212,000) Continentals have the following book values: NADA Retail $3675 Kelly Blue Book Retail $3637 Engine Specifications Engine Horsepower Torque 4.6L DOHC 32-VALVE V8 INTECH 275 @ 5750 RPM 275 @ 4750 RPM Drivetrain Front Wheel Drive Transmission 4-Speed Electronic Automatic Transaxle w/OD Safety Air Bag-Frontal-Driver Air Bag-Frontal-Passenger Air Bag-Side Body-Front Brakes-ABS Brakes-Type-4 Wheel DISC Child Safety Rear Door Locks Engine Immobilizer Headlights-Automatic Security System Traction Control Comfort & Convenience Air Conditioning-Auto Climate Control Air Conditioning-Front Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror Cruise Control Keyless Entry Max Seating Capacity: 6 Mirror(s)-Power Mirrors-Vanity-Driver Mirrors-Vanity-Driver Illumination Mirrors-Vanity-Passenger Mirrors-Vanity-Passenger Illumination Power Locks Reading Lamps-Front Seat Trim-Leather Seat-Power Driver Seat-Power Passenger Seats-Front Bench-Split Steering Wheel-Adjustable Steering Wheel-Leather Steering-Power Suspension-Air Trunk-Release-Remote Universal Garage Door Opener Windows-Power Music & Entertainment Audio-AM/FM Stereo Audio-Cassette Player Interior Floor Mats Exterior Doors: 4 Mirror(s)-Heated Rear Window Defogger Wipers-Intermittent Wipers-Variable Speed Intermittent Tires Front Tire Size: P225/60R16 Rear Tire Size: P225/60R16 Spare Tire Size: T125/80R16 Wheels Front Wheel Material: Aluminum Rear Wheel Material: Aluminum |

Report: Lincoln getting all of Mercury's ad dollars
Mon, 03 Jan 2011Now that the curtain has closed on Mercury, Ford Motor Company will redirect all of its marketing dollars for the oft-overlooked brand to the Blue Oval's luxury outpost, Lincoln. In speaking to Automotive News, the chairman of the Lincoln National Dealer Council, Bob Tasca, Jr., said, "You'll see a lot stronger presence in the advertising of Lincoln in 2011."
Lincoln spokesperson Christian Bokich reminded AN that the automaker is "preparing the way for seven new or significantly refreshed vehicles" that will be launched over the next four years, and the largest ad blitz in 2011 will focus on the refreshed MKX crossover, as well as the MKZ sedan and its hybrid counterpart. Following that, Lincoln has plans to launch a completely overhauled version of its Navigator SUV, an all-new C-segment vehicle and the overhauled 2013 MKZ, which Tasca says will be "strikingly different from its Ford Fusion sibling."

Lincoln MKC Concept shows real promise [w/video]
Sun, 13 Jan 2013Ford's efforts to resuscitate its moribund Lincoln luxury brand began in earnest with the introduction of its 2014 MKZ sedan, a model many labeled as the marque's make-or-break offering. Of course, one model does not a comeback make, and with the MKZ just now starting to trickle into dealers, it will be some time before America's jury of consumers comes in with their judgment. More to the point, it's likely to take better than a decade's worth of products and sustained marketing effort to even begin to figure out whether Lincoln has a shot at redemption or if it will die of Mercury poisoning. After all, rival General Motors has been pouring resources into Cadillac since the late '90s, and if the sales charts are any guidance, it's still probably too early to declare its rebirth a success.
Certainly, a brand with Ford's resources, free of distractions (read: the now-defunct Premier Auto Group and various other side projects) should be able to successfully market a single luxury brand, particularly one with such a rich - if distant - history. Especially now with the Blue Oval enjoying more consumer goodwill than at any time in recent history. So let's all give Alan Mulally and friends a little room to work, eh?
We can start by focusing on the compact crossover seen before you, the Lincoln MKC Concept. Riding atop the same global C-platform that underpins the Ford C-Max, Escape and Focus, the MKC showcar here presages a production small CUV that will stick its distinctive nose into one of the auto industry's fastest-growing segments.
Sell your own: 2002 Lincoln LS V8

Ford Motor Company has been a global concern almost as long as there has been a 'Motor Company'. And while it is omnipresent in most corners of the globe, few things spoke to that globalization more than Ford's purchase of Jaguar and Land Rover near the end of the last century. And with that purchase came shared platform opportunities, some of which didn't work (Jaguar's X-Type is the most notable, whose platform was shared with the Ford Mondeo), and some that did. We'll focus on one that did: Jaguar's S-Type, whose engineering was common to the Lincoln LS. Sales didn't set the world on fire for either model, but there is something ageless about both; the Jag embraced a neo-classic theme, while Lincoln's LS is almost timeless within its 3-box, slab-sided architecture. This for-sale example, located in Melbourne, Fla., looks to be in nice condition. If the mileage is accurate and the Carfax reasonably clean, it should provide miles and years of motoring pleasure, even if only driving to your rheumatologist. The LS borders on being a quiet collectible, with less obvious pleasure in the viewing, more obvious delight in the driving; that's especially true with this model's V8.
